The Blue Bear
What do you do?
We're a young independent company running a streetfashion boutique in The Netherlands. We are expanding with a webshop and in time want to start a private label. Therefore we are changing our name to The Blue Bear
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
The Blue Bear
You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.
Besides business cards, letterhead and envelopes we might want a design for packing tape too.
What is your industry?
We are in the lifestyle retail business, selling streetfashion apparel and shoes. Examples of brands/products we sell: http://wesc.com , www.ontour.nl , http://obeyclothing.com , www.norseprojects.com .
Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
Our customers are creative, young (15-30), male, either students or young professionals, from an urban environment. They are heavily involved in street orientated lifestyle communities; skate, hip hop, streetart, electronic music (dubstep, electro), tattoos, sneakers, etc. Their clothing is an important way of showing off their lifestyle and personality.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
authentic, cool/fashionable, somewhat arty.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We are looking for a logo consisting of text (The Blue Bear) and a strong image (a bear). The image is very important as it needs to be simple yet strong, and have to be used both small (as logo on webshop or on a shirt) and big (on a t-shirt. A silhouette or outline might be best suitable.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
Despite the name (the BLUE bear), we want the logo to be black & white.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
Please, no additional colors besides black & white.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
timeless yet contemporary, recognizable, clean, active, outdoor.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
The logo will be used both online (logo webshop) as printed (stationary and clothing). Sometimes used small (as a logo on the webshop), sometimes used big (on a t-shirt) Over time we hope to build an immediately recognizable trademark. Think of the crocodile of Lacoste (www.goodlogo.com/images/logos/lacoste_lo...)
