Small, independent strategy business consulting start-up. We work for large corporations and new ventures, developing strategy, marketing, M&A engagements, mostly in the financial services industry.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
"Ponto Futuro". "Consutoria Estratgica" may or may not be added as a tagline
What pieces of stationery do you need designed (biz cards, letterhead, etc.)?
Business cards, Letterhead, a nice plus would be de "reduced identity" to be used on Twitter and web browsers (e.g. Facebook's "f")

Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
Sucessful and intelligent senior executives that need professional support with relevant business issues, and values what our firm can offer: honest advice (as opposed to pushing for the next buzzword methodology), independent look upon clients issue, challenge to status quo and commodity thinking, "eye to eye" approch - not hiding behind business lingo. Mostly male, 40-50 y.o., highly educated.

What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Most of the industry is on the conservative side and uses text only. We are not opposed to graphic elements, as long as they are aligned to the ideas presented in the brief.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
We would like to have a warmer approach than the big names in the market, so it we are ok with a warm-to-hot color scheme, as longs as is not too heavy on the eyes.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
No prejudices there.

Warm, clean, objective
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Print materials, e-mail signatures, twitter account, website (in the near future)

We are OK with playing with upper and lower cases.
"Ponto Futuro" means "Future Point" in English. The name tries to convey innovative, forwrd thinking, optimism, evolution and improvement.
"Ponto", in Portuguese, also means "dot" - so there may be a space for playing with the concepts of dot and the "o"'s in the name. Just a non-expert guess...
