What do you do?
SOS IT is an independent IT consultancy business whose purpose is to make information technology (IT) work for your business not work against you. Our focus is you and your business and our success depends on you getting the utmost from your IT investment. We work with small and medium size business owners to develop and implement an IT strategy that fits their current and future business goals.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
SOS IT. This stands for "Save" "Optimize" "Succeed"
You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.
OK. The Logo is the most important aspect of this project for me. The Logo can then follow onto all the stationary and then eventually the website as well (which I will post as a separate project should this project be successful for me).
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
Small and medium sized business owners in Australia. Any industry vertical.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
1. We are here to help YOU and YOUR business.
2. Helping you make the right IT decisions to achieve your business goals.
3. With constant evolving technologies and a myriad of service providers and vendors with IT solutions, its sometimes quite difficult to know what makes sense for your business. That's where we come in.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Text and image or text only. "SOS" is also an obvious spin on the international distress signal for HELP so any design concept around this would be great. Example company logo's which I like include..
Vodafone Logo (www.vodafone.com)
Apple Logo (www.apple.com)
BT Logo (www.bt.com)
Thomas Cook Logo (www.thomascook.com)
Playfish Logo (www.playfish.com)
These are all simple and basic but powerful.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
Basic primary colors for the text and image logo and the stationary design. No custom or fancy coloring as this will make future printing and web design more complex and expensive. The best logos in my opinion use basic primary colors.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
I'm open to using any colors as long as they are basic primary colors. I will leave the color choice to the designers !
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
SOS stands for "Save" "Optimize" "Succeed". It needs to be a modern, contemporary and funky logo.
"SOS" is also a spin on the international morse code distress signal for HELP. "... --- ...." or "dot dot dot dash dash dash dot dot dot". Therefore anything which could incorporate this may be quite cool.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Website definitely. Also logo will be printed on business cards, stationary and letter heads etc as well as business shirts and polo shirts. So it needs to be simple but powerful using primary colors.
Do you have additional info or links you want to share?
SOS IT is about HELP. Helping businesses get what they need from their IT investment. Helping them grow and in turn helping SOS IT grow. Examples of company logos which I like are listed above.
