LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Senior Solutions for You is a company that helps you care for your elderly parent or loved one... a company that provides more than just companionship. We will help you with tasks as easy as running errands, visiting a senior in a nursing home when you are not available, helping with home repairs, maintenance, and even remodeling their home to make it easier to live in.
Senior Solutions provides a one-stop-shop to give your loved one help living an independent life. We're your "helping hands" any time you need us!
Our services include:
- In-home or in-hospital visits/companionship
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Grocery shopping, errands
- Trips to the doctor's office
- Medical reminders
- Pet care assistance
- Organizing and helping with bill paying
- Home accessibility updates, remodeling
We're tiny. Just a couple of women operating in the suburbs of Chicago... and we'll stay small. We're here to help... however we can.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a visual identity package. Logo, business card, the works.
-- LOGO --
CLEAN, warm, friendly.
Either sans serif font or rounded serif (see examples).
A few colors, but easily reproduced in black and white as well.
Big illustration on side or at top... playing with the concept of "helping hands", or the S's in Senior Solutions. One thought was to have two hands interlocked at the thumbs making an "S". Another was to have some illustration of a hand or hands helping somehow. See examples for stuff we liked. We looked at hundreds of logos and quickly came down to this list of examples.
"Senior Solutions" should be emphasized, "For You" should be de-emphasized (it's only there for legal naming reasons). Casing is up to you.
-- BUSINESS CARD --
Two-sided, color card.
-- LETTERHEAD AND ENVELOPE --
Color. Lined. Clean and simple.
Logo will be used on business cards, 3-fold brochures at senior homes, website, and possibly reusable tote bags, etc.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
children (40+ yrs. old) and families of senior citizens. They have busy lives and their parents aren't going to be put in a home. Seniors need to continue to live active lives, staying right in their home. We help them get out and about, provide a bit of company, and keep them going.
Seniors 60+ themselves that might be losing a bit of mobility. The push to the suburbs has had an unintended side-effect... aging folks trapped in their subdivision homes and unable to even walk to grocery store.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
See above re what we're looking for in the design. Examples of designs we love below:
Get Wired - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/60714
Like everything about this one. Mix of chunky serif font + rainbow-scribble cup. Would this work for our name + same visual treatment of a "helping hand"?
Arka Nuova - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/54269
Another "scribble-y" big image + text. This time all one color. Really like too.
El-paca - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/37899
Another scribble + text.
Dana McCauley - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/15308
Really friendly and warm. Small-feel.
Joe Urban - http://www.logodesignlove.com/images/ldl...
Clean and simple.
Econery - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/86798
Like the mix of letter and function in the graphic portion
ASL Place - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/85926
Interesting use of a hand, both literally and conceptually (opening doors)
Inspired Needleworks - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/83402
Totally unlike anything else we like, but simple and fantastic for the application
Fatherzday - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/78190
Clean, decent use of a people without being creepy
Heart Build Foundation - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/81307
We really liked this one. Clean text + balanced big merged illustration
Infinite Love - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/75411
Cool merging of imagery again, weird font.
Another merger... hand + bird. A bit weird.
St. Francis Hospital - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/48971
Marie Renteria - http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/40600
Nice balance of illustration + text
I love how these guys were able to use part of their logo over and over again in new applications...
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Clean, simple, friendly, a bit of color.
Big, dominant illustration (see examples) and "Senior Solutions", smaller "For You" below.
