LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Chartered Development Group is a retail real estate development and asset management company based in China. To put it simply, we develop and build regional shopping malls. This means we direct and manage everything including the architectural design, finance, leasing to retail tenants (major international brands), construction, marketing and property management of the regional shopping centers we develop and manage. While we are currently focused on China, it is likely we will expand to the broader Asia Pacific Region. We are a new company led by global retail development veterans backed by a leading private equity fund. We plan to formally launch in the US and Asia in May.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a simple yet very recognizable Logo with Business Cards and Stationery. We will also need a web design in 30 days which may be a new project or we may engage the winning creative. Note the following: (1) We need a recognizable logo possibly incorporating the initials. (2) The logo could incorporate an Asian influence. (3)Retail is a key term. There are four main types of real estate development: Residential, Office, Industrial (warehouses, industrial parks) and Retail (Shopping Malls, high street developments)
We need to differentiate ourselves from the other types of Developers and Asset Managers.
We are debating going with two different brand names
(1) Chartered Retail - this would clearly identify who we are and what we do), or;
(2) "CDG Retail"as initials are important in China because they are easier to say. That being said, initials are sometimes confusing as many companies have similar initials.
However, as we have learned over the years in China, we will likely be known to our Chinese customers by our initials.
Business Cards should be landscape (no portrait). Business Cards will be heavier stock and two sided (English/Chinese). Note our Chinese name:"Hua Ta Rui Di" = China Land Good/Fortune.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our Stakeholders include: (1) Our Partners - large global funds and private equity groups, banks and well known development companies in China and the rest of the world. (2) Our Customers Large Retail Brands Zara, H&M, Uniglo, Gap etc. These brands will lease space in our Retail Shopping Centers. (3) The community at large who will shop at our centers.
As we deal with institutional grade clients, its important we convey a degree of professionalism and seriousness.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
CapitaLand / CapitaMall (a large Singaporean developer) (more for colors) http://www.ec-link.com/images/capitaland...
ATT Logo (I like the globe logo and the text. I like that the logo can be used vertically or horizontally) http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=...
Compass International Logistics I like the colors and the incorporation of the Compass icon. (The Chinese list the compass as one of their key inventions.) http://compass-sz.en.alibaba.com/
I also like this image http://www.csupomona.edu/~plin/ls201/con...
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
We prefer blues/grays and whites.
The logo should be something that could be developed in three dimensions for exterior building signage.
