LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I am a physician starting a new medical practice based on lifestyle optimization, genetic testing and wellness coaching. The following are general ideas for what I am seeking, however, it is important to note that these are not hard and fast guidelines. I have a few specific logo ideas, however I am looking for anything which to conforms to my basic concepts. The name of my business is, Radical Human. My approach is based on the four alchemical elements of earth (static strength and stability, south position), air (higher thought, imagination, right or west position), fire (energy, vigor and passion, north position), water (intuitiveness and creativity, east or left position), as well as the fifth element of ether (potentiality, awakening, enlightenment, central position).

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The look and feel of the logo should be:

High-touch and high-tech, futuristic but friendly

Clean, simple, but not at the expense of getting the message across

Professional, ultra-modern, sci-fi fonts (I like the font Edgewater, just as an example.)

Slightly feminine and beautiful, and non-intimidating, yet strong and assertive. I am looking for something which suggests both technology and gainism. (Technogainism)

The logo should embody the qualities of potential, the future, awakening, enhancement, optimization and movement

Additionally, these elements as represented in the complete logo will need to be able to be "deconstructed" into five separate elements. (Think Voltron!) In other words, I am looking for a logo which represents all five elements, which can then be broken down into a separate graphic for each of the five elements. Each separate element will be used to represent a clients Quest, or entry point into the program. The graphic for each individual element will be used for web pages, stationary, etc...and should be web-friendly in its own right.

The colors should be based on the basic alchemical colors---- Earth (green), fire (red), water (blue), air (orange, light purple, or grey.) The fifth element should be black. Again, these are just basic color guidelines. In other words, I will likely not have a true green, or true blue, etc..

The combined five-element graphic should be seamlessly positioned next to the business name, "Radical Human", or should somehow be incorporated into the name. I want to avoid the image of a completely separate logo and name. Also, since the name of the business as written is horizontally long, the logo should not extend beyond the aesthetic boundaries of the entire image, especially in the vertical dimension. The name should be designed in all caps.

Here are a few ideas:

Business name with a graphic element at each corner of the name. This could look be illustrated with a graphic representation of each element superimposed on the background of a black sphere, with the fifth element being a simple black sphere in between the words, "Radical Human". Ex. Plant leaf at the bottom right corner, water drop at bottom left corner, air gust at top right corner, fire flame at top left corner. Having the four element graphics superimposed on the black sphere (which represents the fifth element, gives the suggestion that the fifth element is always present, and also may make it more web-friendly.) These could then be possibly be deconstructed to represent each individual element.

Alternatively, these could be positioned at the end of the name, "Radical Human:, in a circular fashion, with all the elements, graphically represented, revolving around the central fifth.

Other associated concepts which may help with the conceptualization of this logo include genes, genetics, DNA, caduceus, and spirals. None of the above is written in stone. I am looking for a designer to bring the concept to life. Thanks.

Here are some links to stock photos of the four elements and other similar graphics which incorporate these ideas. I am not stuck on any particular shapes, although spheres seem to be easiest to use.
