LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Peanut Media is a digital media agency providing a range of web development & design services, from one-page websites, full design & branding, through to bespoke development, CMS design, and E-commerce etc. We are a modern, young fresh company, have a friendly and fun ethos, while at the same time professional.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We require:
1x Logo (vector based)
Stationary consisting of:
1x Business Card (standard size)
1x Letter Heads (A4)
(we dont require compliment slips or any other stationary)
FOR THE LOGO...
we are looking for concept that will represent the following connotations:
young, fresh, modern, web 2.0, clean, simplistic, fun, professional/well-established
We are not looking for an over complicated logo. Our whole business brand will be based on being friendly, approachable, easy to understand, and professional so the logo must reflect this.
As a novelty we will be laser engraving the chosen logo onto a physical peanut (yes, a peanut, like one of these!.. http://blogs.denverpost.com/dollarsandse... the chosen logo (or at least the icon part of the logo) must be simple enough to be also be printed in basic colours (black and white) quite small. (note: the actual logo must be in colour though, not black and white!)
Regarding a format of the logo, we are open to creative ideas however logos we like normally follow the structure of (in a rectangular shape) where the icon goes to the side of the text. The text can be any of the following, whatever looks best:
- Peanut Media
- PEANUTMEDIA
- peanut media
If choosing this format we would also like a certain degree of integration with the logo and chosen icon, so whether this is using colours, or by actual making the icon link in with the text physically, they need to look "together" and not just a random icon with random text. Stock icons will not be looked on favourably!
We would certainly like to use the shape of a peanut in the design somewhere, however bear in mind this business is a digital media agency and not a business selling peanuts, so if using the peanut concept, make sure its a "concept" (eg shape, outline, etc) and not focusing on too much detail on the peanut itself.
FOR THE BUSINESS CARD...
The business card will be double sided.
On the front we would like simply the logo and the chosen "branding" (so our colour scheme etc).
On the back you can choose you how want to display this but they must contain a reference to:
Peanut Media
design & branding
content managed websites
social network platforms
online payment systems
custom development
(this is a list of our services so you can choose how to display this)
FOR THE LETTER HEAD (A4)...
The letter heads will be used both for PDFs but also for printing. We may not always have access to a borderless printer, so whatever design is chosen must not have a design that goes right to the edge of the page, as when printing on printer without borderless capabilities they will not print properly. The letter heads must have the following information on them:
PEANUT MEDIA LTD
OLD BROADCASTING HOUSE
148 WOODHOUSE LANE
LEEDS
WEST YORKSHIRE
UNITED KINGDOM
LS2 9EN
Company No. 06866218
The design is flexible. We would like to see the branding on the letter heads too (similar requirements to the logo) but will leave concepts to you here!
Note: We dont want a watermark in the middle of the page.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Businesses looking for web development services. Particularly businesses that are looking for a creative, young, fresh passionate agency that has both the expertise to create the finished product they want, but also the communication skills to speak with them on a "human" level in plain English!
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2009/04/... - If you are looking for logos we like this is a good starting place. We love most of these, theyre all very modern, clean, and creative.
www.skype.com - Very very close to the sort of style we are looking for. Very clean, professional - but slightly fun, and very web 2.0
https://php.radford.edu/~tlc/wordpress/w... - A general list of web 2.0 examples in case you are stuck and need inspiration. We dont like all of those, but they explain what web 2.0 is!
www.twitter.com - we like it for the same reason as we like Skype!
http://brightkite.com/ - Nice site, maybe not too creative but nice and clean and web 2.0
http://www.hicksdesign.co.uk/work/miro-l... - very nice site, creative, young, fresh, clean, and fun - yet profesional - we like it!
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Must be:
Clean, fun, professional, web 2.0, modern, "new media", creative, crisp design
Dont want to see:
clipart-like old fashion styles, over-complicated designs, messy designs, logos that have an odd shape
