LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Describing what we do can be a little wordy. Essentially, we have built a web based tool for searching large lists of customer data. Its hooked up into GIS information, and backed by a data warehousing database. Companies who have huge lists (10's of millions or greater) give us their lists, and we essentially make them search-able. We currently manage hundreds of millions of customer records and are growing. Its ajax web2.0-ish tech meets old school address marketing business. We're also branching out into medium businesses, with 10's and hundreds of thousands of records to help them manage and view their data, and small businesses, to provide fully automated marketing.

Sexy? Ehh. No, unless you have tons of data and no way to manage it. There's a lot out there.

The company is called "Research & Response International". The specific part of th company that deals with this is called (currently, may change down the road) "Research & Response Applications". Current website is at 'rresp.com'. The domain for this specific portion of the company will be 'rrespapps.com'.

Eventually I'll convert over the whole website and look, but the immediate need is for the applications focused part of the company.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I want something that's simple and clean. Looks web-2.0-y, but not "flashy". Modern and clean. I'm thinking blues and grays. I've seen two-tone background color cards, which I really like.

For the logo art? Not sure. I hope that will develop as ideas come in. A gear, or something abstractly "gear like" pops to mind, but if you have a good idea, throw it in. The company deals with physical mail address data, maps, large databases, customer data, and dynamic web applications. Whatever logo you can come up with from that would be great, or something that has nothing to do with any of that but looks really good.

Logo might be the full name, the initials, or possibly the abbreviate (rresp) or the full apps url (rrespapps). Post what you think.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Chief members of non-tech companies. Medium sized business owners. Possibly CTO's here and there, but not so much.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I do not like the current look ('rresp.com'). Whatever is the logical opposite of that will probably win. If I see something else I like, I'll post it later.
