Make'em - The Projects Network
What do you do?
Make'em is the next step in online web collaboration platforms. It connects people doing projects to a community of professionals, providing them with ideas and insights only a 'smart-crowd' can offer and gives them access to a community of professionals to help get there project done right the first time around.
On the other side it offers professionals in a wide variety of fields, a pool of projects they know people are serous about getting done, allowing them to interact and establish relations with potential clients before committing, while also offering a system to gain reputation as they work with people in the community.
Note: While Make'em as a platform is open to all projects across all industries, during the first launch stage we will be aiming for the building & renovating + restaurants / cafe opening industries, meaning: home owners, architects, renovators, lawyers, plumbers..anybody that has anything to do with the process of building a house/renovating it or opening a cafe or restaurants.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.
We really don't need letterheads and envelopes (wow, people still use them?!)
However, what we do need is a design for a newsletter (pls work with only Madmimi or Mailchimp), shouldn't be too complicated, a header, footer and a few elements to give it a good sleek look.
of course we also need biz cards.
In any case please do not try doing all. once we see some ideas for logos we will let you know that we like your directions, and ask you to give your ideas for a biz cards and a newsletter too.
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
* 24-50 women & men
* Educated, Highly capable, Adept
* Entrepreneurs / freelancers / consultants (might be fully or partly self-employed)
* High self-confidence.
* Open to learn.
* Willing to die for an idea.
* not afraid to fail.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
Professional - Make'em is about getting things done the pro way. think about architects, designers, carpenters... people that see value in quality, beauty and design.
Smart crowd - It's an open community relying on a mass of ideas to help people make there project better, both in the conceptual stages and in the process of execution.
Creative - Make'em isn't about ordering "ready made", it's about creating your own project, doing it your way.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
We're not sure what we are looking for exactly.
It might be a web 2.0 logo, but with a updated smart style. Maybe something more typographic giving it a more Googley look.
In any case the name should definitely be the main thing, but we are not sure if it should be the only thing or not, maybe a mascot or a icon to go with it, maybe the tag line too - we're leaving it all up to you.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
We like blue and orange, may be gray too, but we're totally open to any other ideas.
On one of are (unrelated) earlier projects we had a logo with a play on transparent colors which we really liked.
But we are really leaving this to the creativity of the designers.
What you need to remember is that this is a logo for a site that has a lot of information displayed on every page (so a loud red logo won't work well).
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
All colors are born equal! ...use them wisely.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
dynamic, open, edge, pro, connected.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Web (and cards).
Do you have additional info or links you want to share?
signup.makeem.com - have a look at the movie it'll give you a picture of what we are about, please discard the logo there (It's something we made on PowerPoint), and the style of the animation (it's just a cute cool animation) [we did however get a lot of positive feedback on the Penguins ;-]
And of course if your interested sign up and we'll let you know when we launch.
