We are an FAA approved airline authorized for on demand travel.
Our company is called KAVOO or Kavoo or KAVOO! You help us decide.
KAVOO is a derivative of an aviation term spelled CAVU or "Clear And Visibility Unlimited". To avaiators, this means 'A perfect day to fly'!
Our fleet is made up of 4 passenger planes....Cirrus SR22( www.cirrusaircraft.com or google for images) and starting next year we will start with new Cirrus Jets (Vision SF50 http://cirrusaircraft.com/vision/)
Our staff is very experienced and highly trained. Not new pilot school graduates but seasoned aviators typically former pilots of Major airlines, military or both. They understand the importance of great communication and amazing customer service.
Our pricing is comparable to short notice ticketing of major airlines. However 3 can fly for the same price since we are selling the plane (3 extra seats), not just a seat. Further, you can travel on your schedule not the airlines.
It's important to note that while we see ourselves as a national airline in the future, we will always provide a regional service, generally 500 miles or less radius from your starting point. Like Hertz or Avis, you can get them anywhere but you don't get them in NY to use in LA.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Most importantly we need an image that represents our essence that is meaningful to our target audience. It should represent "who" we are, be memorable and recognizable. Ideally it should look familiar at it's first presentation, yet not represent anything previous. This icon(logo) should be easily recognizable on the tail or side of a plane as it is embroidered on a shirt or printed on a card, or website.
I prefer an icon and a word treatment combination but the icon should also be able to stand alone without the word treatment.
Jetblue has for example been a much stronger brand than Netjets, Virgin is another good industry example. Examples of the above that quickly come to mind are twitter and facebook. While both are too playful the "t' and the "f" iphone apps I recognized immediatly as though I had seen them before.
The brand needs to be compelling to our target audience without being over the top as if we are trying too hard. While we wish to appeal to an affluent, self-reliant audience, we don't wish to represent decadence, rather simple, "humble luxury".
There is a great deal of practical reasons to fly with us. We are cost effective compared to alternatives but cheap cannot be part of the image; practical can however.
How many colors? Well, you decide... There are no restrictions from print capabilites here but naturally avoid 4c process.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Self-reliant, energetic, high income individuals and companies that place a high value on time. Most dislike traveling among the masses and trapped in lines or driving to remote destinations that aren't served easily by commercial airlines.
Most are business owners or high level executives that have at some point experienced charter travel or have considered it.
Ideal customers have had or considered having an in-house flight department or Netjet share.
Because we are traveling in smaller more personalized aircraft, our customers are not likely to be over pretentious and likely share a sense of adventure. Most of all they appreciate convenience and a feeling of being exclusive.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Jetblue -simple and recognizable. Warm (don't like new jetting campaign at all!)
Twitter - total brand (really like the background designs they use)
Cirrus - professinal
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We need to convey professional, reliable and a little bit fun (not stuffy). We are more Virgin Upperclass than we are Southwest. BMW, not Mercedes. We wish to represent lifestyle, easy, conveninece, not mere travel.
We do not require an image of an airplane in our logo. However, if you find an interesting need for it, please make it non-specific as our aircraft will change over time. Please do not simply place an image of a Cirrus plane in the logo.
We wish to have both an Icon and word treatment that work together. However the icon must be able to stand alone.
Remember this will be placed on the tail of the plane and possibly on the side of the plane. It should be recognizable from a distance, not just up close.
