Here's the client journey on crowdspring:
1.The client completed an interactive design brief.
- The brief is customized for each project category.
- The client specifies what they want (and don't want).
- Simple and proven process (takes just a few minutes).
2.Our über-talented designers created dozens of unique designs.
In a typical Logo & Business Card project on crowdspring, many professional designers submit dozens of custom designs based on your brief. See all designs submitted to this project.
- 220,000+ designers from 195 countries.
- The client reviews & gives feedback.
- Great collaboration tools & free focus groups.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
jerseyofthemonth.com is launching in 60 days or so (nothing there now but a placeholder). It will be a community driven site based on a common interest in the points below.
- We believe in physical fitness and a balanced lifestyle
- We believe in bicycling for recreation and transportation
- jerseyofthemonth.com is our way of contributing to the cycling community by providing a platform for the discovery of unique design, and by contributing a portion of the proceeds to bicycling advocacy and bicycling-related philanthropy
The site will be monetized mostly by the sale of exclusive, limited edition bicycle jerseys, some of which will be professionally designed and some of which will be user-submitted.
This project is for the logo, etc but I thought I'd add the below to help round out the idea. Look for a related project (maybe) to prepare a custom Wordpress theme.
The site design should be uncluttered and appealing. It should be unique and design-driven. That is, no other site will look like it, and it won't look like another templated site. When someone comes to the site, they should get the impression that this is not a gear or technology oriented site, but that it is a design, community and advocacy oriented site.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Logo/graphic treatment of the company name: jerseyofthemonth.com. Business card design. Stationery.
The logo/treatment of the name will be used on the website and various other places the name appears, probably including on garment labels or as part of jersey design. The business card will be used in hand to hand combat. The stationery will be used for invoices, etc and will probably be used in confirmation emails and the like.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We are looking to attract the mature, affluent bicyclist. These are people who spend many hundreds or thousands of dollars a year on bicycling related items, including apparel. These cyclists are more interested in the aesthetic of cycling and the social aspects of the sport than in the technology. Fitness is important to this group of cyclists but they are not competitive athletes. They are likely to participate in charity rides and fundraisers. These cyclists want to express their affinity for the sport and their individuality via a jersey that few others have.
Jersey designs that we select will appeal to this audience, we hope. The point is that the focus is not on the technology of bicycling, like 90% of other bike related sites, but rather on the aesthetic of cycling.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Here are some sites that I like the overall design of. Note that they all incorporate some hand-drawn elements.
http://www.carbonica.org/ (I like this one a lot)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Just remember that ours is not a gearhead site, and not (necessarily) a retro cycling site. Also, we're not looking to attract bmx punks. :)
