Hotchpotch Marketing & Communications helps start-ups (typically people in their 20's, 30's or 40's) finding their right place in the market. Hotchpotch takes care of developing marketing mixes, writing press releases, making small advertising campaigns, connecting to (social) media and writing marketing plans.
Hotchpotch M&C stands for creativity, variety and tasteful solutions (that's why it's called Hotchpotch). The company focuses on start-up that require a marketing mix in order to penetrate their markets. The brains behind Hotchpotch M&C stand for a collection containing a variety of miscellaneous things everything to provide a new company with food for thought (once again, because the company is called Hotchpotch).
Brand personification: an ambitious and intelligent 29-year old woman. She is trendy is a classy kind of way, sensitive but not irrational, direct and creative. The design should fit this: business minded, professional but also creative and innovative.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
I'd like to have one logo that just states 'Hotchpotch', but also one with 'Marketing & Communications' included. For the letterhead and the biz cards, it should be with the 'Marketing & Communications' part included.

Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
My customers are all over the world, from Australia to The Netherlands (where I'm located). They are both male and female, characterized by their ambition. They are starting up their company, so usually they don't have much to spend. My customers are entrepreneurs who have various educational backgrounds - from high school to Ph.D. They work in various industries: as I do marketing for both products and services, the logo should be appealing to people from many different backgrounds. The only thing they have in common is a sense of adventure and entrepreneurial skills.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
- Hotchpotch = (marketing) mix of good ideas
- The image should be: business, persistent, professional - though creative and innovative
- Focus on start-ups

Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Both text and image are fine (see wishes above). I like: Apple, Google, Hallmark, Coca Cola and many more. Use your own inspiration, too!
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
I'll leave that to you, as you know more about it. It should be a fresh though professional look in the end.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
Not too very bright: bright pink for instance won't be appealing to every customer. Also, no very soft pastel teints.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
Business, creative, mix (hotchpotch), innovative, original. It should be a true balance between serious business and creative, optimistic marketing.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
Print (prospectus), website, stationery, e-mail, etc.
