What do you do?
YourColo began in 2006 as a co-location facility or data center, meaning the company worked with businesses of all sizes to house their network, server and storage hardware in highly available and secure locations. The companys founder has over 35 years in the IT business along with 18 years of colocation and data center ownership and experience. By leveraging these colocation and data center relationships, the company has evolved to also provide managed IT services, often called cloud computing. As a result, YourColo is now a one-stop shop for businesses that need assistance with IT resources, data centers, bandwidth or backend support. YourColo has a small company feel with big company resources. While YourColo specializes in small- to mid-size enterprises, theyre open to customers of all sizes. The emphasis is on creating long-term partnerships. Examples of clients include: professional services, law firms, dental offices, medical offices, etc.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.
We need a logo. In addition, a stationery package is needed. Elements on business card to include Name, Title, PO Box, City, State, Zip; fax number, email address, URL.
On the back of the business card, we need to leave space for a QR code and possibly a link where someone could download a vcard.
The logo will be used in places large and small, including embroidered on shirts. So, when adding detail, keep in mind the logo needs to be flexible enough to scale up or down. The logo (or elements of the logo) should also work well inside a square (for use as profile images on popular social networking sites).
The idea of working in the cloud is very trendy right now, but probably doesnt have much staying power. YourColo wants to position itself as a cloud company without creating an identity that wont be relevant in a couple years. Wed ask the designers to spend some time thinking about how to adequately address that challenge.

Examples to Avoid:
These companies do a piece of what YourColo does. Their brand is very tech-focused. We want to position YourColo as easier to understand and work with. We want to talk to people in terms theyre comfortable with and help them implement the right solutions without having to understand how we do it. If they wanted to understand too much of what we do, they probably would not be using us. We are a *solution seller*. All these other folks are *widget sellers*.
