A LITTLE ABOUT US:

Mills Properties owns and manages a range of apartment communities located throughout St. Louis, Missouri and the surrounding region. Properties in the Mills portfolio include an eclectic mix of garden styled residential apartment homes to central city high rise apartment homes to condo quality luxury apartment homes. They currently serve a renter base that covers blue collar service workers to students to hip young professionals to an older active adult population.

You can think of the Mills brand similar to how you might think of brands in the automotive industry. Mills is like Ford (an umbrella brand), with various properties encompassed underneath (similar to how the Ford family of vehicles includes; Focus, Fiesta, Escape Hybrid, Edge, Land Rover and Jaguar).

As a brand, Mills Properties is well known within the St. Louis-area business community. However, Mills Properties goal is to increase awareness among potential renters targeting the community at-large. They really focus on teamwork with associates and communities within communities for the various prospect and resident bases. Our product is home...a feeling, a comfort, where every day begins and ends - not just a place. We are turning a cornermaking the essence of home not just a place to live but a stage for life to happen. We offer a new St. Louis lifestyle. It is our overarching aim to be a dramatically different, boundary pushing, pace setting insanely great apartment living choice in the market place. Lofty we know but set the bar high we must.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo and stationary package that will work as well online as it does offline. In addition to traditional uses, the logo (or some part of it) needs to work as an avatar on Facebook fan page, Twitter, etc. The design will also provide the basis for a website, Twitter background, etc. going forward.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

A diverse group of residents including blue-collar workers, young hip professionals, families, and older active adults experience the Mills brand. We need to create an identity that is classic enough to serve as the main umbrella identity for the company, yet nimble/flexible enough to work with each of our various brand experiences.

Colors: Were open to a new, fresher color palette. Perhaps greens, blues and oranges but dont limit yourself to that. Other color suggestions are more than welcome.
