LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
In the vast sea of starving Realtors, I am a ten year veteran broker with a vibrant and energetic practice which thrives on helping your average home buyer or seller accomplish THEIR goals in a residential market turned upside down. In the past, I have used the tagline "your key to home", but am not tied to continuing to use that. I have also, in the past, mostly advertised my team of agents, but am now turning back to just promoting my individual name. But the logo needs to be more than just a house graphic and my name. It has to intuitively communicate credibility, action, professionalism, trusted, friendly & approachable, caring EXPERT.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
It starts with a bright, colorful, and creative logo (yours?), which will be used on stationary, envelopes, biz cards, web site, property signs, print advertising, flyers and everywhere else I can think to put it! The creative who wins this award will be invited to design subsequent projects, including: 2 brochures, a banner/ header for blog and email newsletter, custom landing page for website & additional redesigned pages, and a one sheet template we can use for flyers & other notices.
I am noticing and liking designs with the newer "contemporary" feel and do not want anything too elaborate or fussy. Please see the favorite "inspirational" samples we're attaching to this brief.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Mr.and Mrs. middle American homeowner. Specifically in suburban Phoenix, but please, no graphics of "southwestern" adobe / pueblo huts, as we don't really have any of those here. I've never aspired to the ultra luxury market, actually enjoy first time home buyers and would prefer to have the logo communicate approachability.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I've been noticing a lot of designs that have a more "contemporary" feel. In searching for inspiration, I've seen some logos that are done on a white backgrounds but also have the option of being reversed onto a darker color background -- that might be nice as our print ads always look better on a colored background. I LOVE the new trend for showing rainbow colors in the graphic or logo. See 5 sample logos attached to this brief.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
A house! Yes, a house plus the name "Joan Kilbey, Realtor". It sounds so simple but we know that your design genius will make it so much more. It could also say Broker, as a title or nothing at all. Technically, the word " Realtor" is supposed to have the trademark symbol with it. I detest logos whose graphic is simply something fancy done with the realtor's name or initial and ones that have two different fonts for the first and last names.
