LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
All That Content is a new website where contents from top magazines, websites & blogs are gathered and ranked by category & source. It's like a web's realtime table of contents by category & source. Remember the good old Yahoo 'directories'? It's similar to that but it's different in that the focus is on the contents instead of websites. You could also think of it as something similar to Digg but it's more centered on the mainstream contents. We also limit our content sources to top sources and focus on having only the 'quality contents'.
We have over 100 categories including business, baseball, fashion, celebrities, humor, autos, etc. We try to get connected with words such as 'mainstream', 'lifestyle', 'quality', 'clean', 'simple', etc.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo for the website and it'll be located on the upper-left side of the website. The logo will also be used on other places in different sizes throughout the website or on the e-mails that we send.
The logo's structure are shown below.
All That Content - Heading
Your Quality Contents Center - subtitle
We'll also need a favicon for the website.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our customers are various. Think of Google or Yahoo and its audiences. We provide bird's eye view of the popular quality contents by interests and topics. We target the mainstream users and we want them to think of us as 'high-quality', 'fun', 'informative', 'trustworthy', 'clean',
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
http://www.apple.com/ - the font of big black letters and clean white background.
- like apple product's logos : iphone, iworks, etc.
http://inside.naver.com/inside/main.nhn - the font and style, but want more fun!
http://www.meebo.com/ - the font, color, and style. Feels warm & comfortable.
www.mozilla.com/firefox/ - the font, color and style. Feels warm & fun.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We use clean white background. So we want to use colors that's warm and fun.
We've tentatively selected red and orange but if you have better ideas please do it.
We prefer a logo only with words. We don't think any other illustrations are necessary.
But if you have a great idea, we'd be delighted to see it.
Another thing is that since our domain is going to be allthatc.com, we'd want
some connection in 'allthatc' so making it stand out from the rest of the letters.
However, our logo will still be All That Content.
Something we really don't want to see is geekiness.
We want it to be casual, friendly, fun yet stylish but never geeky!
Also we don't want cluttery logos.
We want simple, clean logos.
