LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Crystal Jin is a NY luxury design company. At present the focal point of Crystal Jin is luxury swimwear. Eventually, we hope to evolve into a multifaceted and multi-segmented label, designing ready to wear, shoes and accessories as well. The existing swimwear segment of Crystal Jin is sexy, chic, and high design. We channel the high fashion component that exists in New York City, bringing that same level of design to the luxury swimwear market. Think New York fashion week takes over Miami.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a top notch logo and business card designed, which capture the essence of New York's high fashion environment. We believe that the logo will very much be typography driven, which graphic designers understand is vital to the success of any design. Possibly even more true here. Look at most well known New York design houses. Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, DVF, all very much typography driven logos.
Our logo will be used on hang tags, woven labels in garments, business cards, shopping bags, at the end of the runway at fashion week, etc. Think high fashion.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target audience is women in the luxury market segment. We want them to think about Crystal Jin as modern, sleek, chic, sexy, New York, high design, sophisticated, and ultimately, luxury.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like many designs that seem to conjure the New York fashion vibe that we've been referring to.
They are present all over the city, from other high end designers logos to chic boutique hotel logos to night club logos. For example, the Hotel Gansevoort logo, typography driven and very VERY interesting. Not saying that that is exactly what we're looking for, but it's a great example of strong typographic design. Calvin Klein is another great one. It embodies his design aesthetic, which is extremely minimalist and clean.
We need to create this for Crystal Jin, a logo that truly represents who we are.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The name CRYSTAL JIN.
Though the name is the FOCAL POINT of the logo, we are not adverse to the idea of an image accompanying it. We just know that the name must be able to stand alone as well.
