LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We specialize in providing workers' compensation insurance and supportive services to food and agricultural businesses paying premiums ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000 annually. Workers' compensation pays the charges incurred for medical treatment of employees who are injured on the job. It also pays the injured worker's wages, if off work, during the period of recovery following the injury.
In addition to the insurance we secure as a broker from various companies in behalf of our clients, we also provide them programs and services which are designed to minimize the number and severity of work-related injuries. Claims for job-related injjuries reduce productivity, erode morale and increase the cost of the insurance--all of which have a negative impact on a business's profits, so safety is an important issue.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We would like a design for business cards, letterhead and envelopes. Liberation should be emphasized, with Risk Services & Insurance Brokers taking a secondary role. We would prefer having type face(s) for Liberation and Risk Services & Insurance Brokers being the basis for the design rather than having a "bug" type logo.
Please limit your pallette to two colors to contain printing costs. We will also be utilizing black and white versions in some cases so if the two colors could be differentiated in black and white values it would be preferable. We would like to include a subtle reference to our motto...Results not just promises...on both our business cards and the stationery.
As respects the stationery, please make sure the logo or masthead does not take up much of the page, either at the top or either of the two margins. We want to have access to most of the page for the text of letters to avoid using second sheets.
In addition to the company's name, address, telephone number, website address and "motto", tthe business cards should also provide the cardholder's name, title, email address, and in one case, a license number.
Stationery should include the company's name, address, telephone number, website address and "motto".

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Food and agricultural businesses who pay workers' compensation insurance premiums ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000 annually. These are fairly conservative businesses who want to deal with a strong, professional insurance broker. Our business cards and stationery should project strength, stability and professionalism. While we are a start-up venture, the two principals have a combined seventy years of experience in this field.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
SIEMENS, T.RowePrice, UnitedHealthcare,FIDELITY INVESTMENTS, Colgate, Mass Mutual Financial Group, Vanguard. These all have font styles that seem appropriate. Any two colors would be OK.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Can't be too far out. It must be fairly conservative because we are selling insurance, not fashion or creative services.
