What do you do?
We provide the personal counsellor relationship of a bygone era together with the speed and efficiency of the information age. We help people protect their families in the event of their disability or death (estate planning) and assist the families with the implementation and enforcement of those plans when their loved one becomes disabled or passes away (estate settlement). We are relational counsellors who spend a significant amount of time with our clients to create high quality, customized estate plans. We put significant time and resources into ensuring our clients plans work, including annual reviews of our client's plans. We assist our clients in preserving and passing on those things that are more important than money (like their ideas, stories, heritage, dreams and aspirations for their loved ones, etc. -- we call this legacy planning). Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
Our target is people who value quality over low cost (Think Ben Franklin - "The bitterness of low quality lingers long after the sweetness of low cost is gone"). And those with a strong values/faith (typically Christian) basis who wish to pass on more than their money after they are gone. Our typical client is retired (60+) and married with adult children, but we are also trying to reach younger, wealthy parents with minor children.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
We are not the typical firm!
1. We provide high quality, customized estate plans that are guaranteed to work (unlike the industry standard 80% failure rate).
2. Because of the significant time we spend with each client (up to 20x industry standard), we become the family's trusted counsellor that will be there to help the family when the death or disability we are planing for happens.
3. Probably our most distinguishing feature, and what we are most passionate about -- We help our clients preserve their legacy (non-financial wealth) for future generations.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
The logo should contain a graphical element sufficiently unique to enable a viewer to identify our firm even without text. In other words, try to avoid a graphical element so generic that it alone could not identify our firm.
Letterhead, business card, folder, envelopes: In addition to the logo, these must also include the name of the firm "Legacy Planning Advocates", the sub-line "Attorneys & Counsellors at Law", and the slogan "Perfecting the Art of the Deliberate Legacy", unless already part of the logo design.
Business card: should be double sided, and should have a way to incorporate a picture of the team member (see attached sample). I've attached a sample picture for you to use in examples, feel free to crop, color, gradient, blend, fade, or otherwise manipulate as you desire, just keep in mind that we will need to reproduce those effects when we get new staff -- so you'll need to make those effects part of the template delivered or show me how to replicate it.
Letterhead: should contain the information in the attached sample. Layout and font, however, are totally up to you.
Folder: you'll see on the folder spec (below) that there is a place to insert a business card. I'd like some info in that place so that if a business card is not there, contact info is still available there.
Use your imagination. Although I have referenced our website and attached examples of our letterhead and business card, please do not limit your imagination by those. I am open to both tweaks of what we currently have as well as total redesigns.

All deliverables should be in an editable format so that information that changes (new staff, new address, new phone number) may be changed easily. In addition to vector EPS and PGN, the letterhead (only) must also be delivered in DOC format.
