House Call, MD is an online publication that translates medical fact and research into concise take home messages for your day to day life. Imagine the hybrid offspring of The New Yorker, People Magazine & The New England Journal of Medicinethats us. Medicine that matters in your daily life brought to you in a simple and entertaining way. The content has an edge to it, making it more humorous and engaging, and is written in a very conversational style.

What makes us different?

Real Doctors. Real Medicine. Our articles are written by medical professionals and supported by published scientific research.

Medicine that matters. WebMD is great when youve developed a strange rash that you are attempting to self-diagnose but its not the best place to find riveting or applicable medical information. We bring you medicine in context. Our articles are based on things taking place in society today. We translate that info into straightforward takeaways you can apply to your everyday life. Medicine you want to know about delivered in a usable way.

We can relate. Its hard to relate to medical professionals. They speak in a foreign language. They dont stick around long enough for questions. Our medical professionals are different. They listen. Theyre funny (most of the time). Theyve been patients just like you. Most importantly, the speak in a language you can understand.

Our content is shared online and via a weekly newsletter e-mailed to subscribers. We also partner with corporate and college wellness programs, providing our content for their wellness newsletters.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo that emanates health and wellness in a way everyone can relate to.

It needs to be clean, simple and sophisticated. We are looking for something classy, not quirky, emphasizing health and wellness rather than illness and disease. It should highlight the educated nature of the columnists (all medical professionals) and our target audience.

Another interesting approach for the logo would echo back to the classic physician that made house calls with his black doctors bag. Think late 1800s London & New York City.

The logo needs to be versatile so that it can be used online, in print, on banners, on business cards, etc.
