Our firm, Thomvest Ventures, is a venture capital fund that invests in early stage companies in the U.S. and Canada. We have invested in over 35 start-up companies over the last fifteen years. We invest in entrepreneurs that are just starting to build their companies in the online services, software, networking, and semiconductor industries. We have offices in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Toronto, Canada and invest in those two geographies. We are looking for a new logo that could go on a website, business card and letterhead. What we'd like to have is a logo that conveys a brand that is both memorable and innovative. We are often competing with older, more established venture capital firms when it comes to financing the most promising entrepreneurs/ideas out there, and so we'd like to develop a brand that helps us differentiate ourselves.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our primary audience consists of entrepreneurs who are considering raising venture capital to finance their companies. If you were an entrepreneur and considering various potential investors for your company and came across our brand for the first time, what type of logo/creative design would stimulate an interest in considering our firm? WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
We want to have our company's name in the piece. This can be either the full name ("Thomvest Ventures") or simply "Thomvest". Two things that we don't want to have are a) something that emphasizes money (i.e., dollar signs) since so much of the work we do focuses on helping entrepreneurs after we've made an investment, and b) we don't want to have a capitalized "V" in the middle of the name.
