Creative Brief

Who are you?

We are an explosive new Silicon Valley start-up, founded by a seasoned group of original dot-com entrepreneurs. We were young, fired up, and running our own companies when the internet exploded back in the mid 90s and Netscape forever changed the world. We may be getting a little grey, but weve also learned a few things along the way. Weve learned what it means to build a great company; the magic that takes place when a smart, dedicated group of people sign onboard and saylets change the world! It takes a lot of hard work and a team with chemistry and respect for each other. Most importantly, it takes luck and great timing. We think the timing is now for GravityEight.

Our mission: GravityEight: Achieve Balance and Wellbeing for Life.
GravityEight will deliver an integrated package of expert programming, lifestyle content, and web applications and tools all delivered through a proprietary new service that allows users to achieve balance and wellbeing across the eight essential areas of their liveshealth, career, finance, relationships, spirituality, lifelong learning, special interests, and community.
Thats all were going to say right now because weve got a lot of work to do and we cant give away our secret sauce. What we need at this point is a really amazing logo and corporate identity package. We know crowdSPRING can deliver and we cant wait to get started.
GravityEight will go live with its first multi-platform private beta application in the Fall of 2010, sometime around August/September. Stay tuned for updates and the early private-beta version at GravityEight.com.

What do you need?

We need a fresh, clean new logo/ corporate identity that will inspire our users to reach for new heights and believe they can truly have more balance and control in their lives. We also need a mark that can evolve and grow with us for years to come; a mark that can stand the test of time and go the distance. Please provide all source files at the end of this project (psd, ai, etc.,) and files in PNG, RGB color, black/ white formats. We also need a business card and letterhead, but not until we get later into the project and have some direction.

Who Is Your Audience?

Our audience consists of consumers located around the world. Initially our focus will be in the United States, but we plan to grow rapidly. Like Facebook and Google, our audience will be kids, ages K-12, young adults, adults, and seniors.

Images to consider: Mt Tamalpais, a mountain in Marin, CA; GravityEight car from Mt. Tamalpais scenic railway 1896 to 1930used to transport travelers to the highest peak of Mt. Tam; the yin and yang symbol. If these items provide inspiration then feel free to use them, preferably in the in the abstract. But please think outside the box.
