LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a husband and wife team who have dreamt of owning our own stylish and trendy flower market, selling florist quality flowers at a cash and carry price. Our name reflects what we provide an abundance of flowers. We are not florists per se, though Florabunda will do some floral design work. We are not interested in doing weddings, funerals or large-scale events. The focus is on the freshest and widest variety of beautiful cut flowers and indoor plants, combined with outstanding customer service.
We envision our colour scheme to include, but not necessarily be restricted to pinks, white and grays, however shades of green may also be included.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The Florabunda logo will be used on all stationary (business cards, stickers, insert cards, letterhead, envelopes, e-mail etc), website and signage within the store (ie: shelf talkers, pricer cards, advertising etc). It will also be displayed on the front window of our retail shop, to let customers know our name. Staff will also have the logo embroidered onto to their golf shirt uniform, along with baseball hats and sweatshirts.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Stylish, design conscious people for whom home dcor and entertaining are important. Flowers are an added touch that brightens any room in the home. Florabunda is located in up and coming Leslieville, stuffed with mid range restaurants and funky design and furniture shops. Our customers love shopping in their own neighbourhood. They are largely young singles moving into the explosion of trendy new lofts and condos, or young families just starting out in their first homes. Because Florabunda is a flower market and not a florist, customers can pick their own flowers and take them home to design themselves - cutting the cost of a floral designer and giving the customer the ability and knowledge to produce their own designs. Florabunda focuses on sales by educating their customers in design techniques, floral choice and selection, and plant care. Our customers will enjoy the stylish upscale feel and look of the store, but return for the outstanding quality, selection, and freshness of the flowers and plants, coupled with great personal service.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Stylish, elegant and tasteful design with details reflecting flowers elegantly incorporated into the name. Font can be a script or something with a more modern feel. The logo should be timeless but not old fashioned.
We prefer something fairly simple design elements to be incorporated by colour choice, not by cluttered and clumsy graphics. Perhaps just the name combined with a stylized flower or stylized bouquet. Flowers we love include, but are not restricted to, peonies, tulips, lilies and dahlias.
Our initial preference on colour themes include but is not restricted to pinks, gunmetal grays, whites and greens.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The only absolute is that the design must include our name Florabunda and possibly also our tag line Leslievilles Flower Market. As we are a brand new business, we are not tied to previous logos, colours, etc.. The design must become instantly recognizable.
