I need a logo for my film production company:
Five-Eyed Films, Inc.
The company does film production, editing, writing, and all elements of production.
The company name derives from the idea of the various lenses and filters that affect our perception at any moment. Four eyes would be a person wearing glasses, and five-eyes is a person with glasses and the film lens in front of their eyes. It would be great to get this idea of lenses across in the logo. Lenses, eyes, film reels, film and film sprockets are all good visuals to keep in mind.
In terms of an aesthetic, I'd like to hark back to the 1910s/20s when filmmaking was first being invented and brought to the masses. I like the idea of something that looks like it's been stamped. you can also look to the following pictures for inspiration:
- check out the graphic boldness of this old ad. Simple, black and white, graphic, strong.
http://www.trainweb.org/oldtimetrains/cl... - you can look to this ad for font ideas - interesting how each line is a different font.
http://particle.physics.ucdavis.edu/Grap... - I like the idea of a cross-section diagram.
http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbvie... - I like the idea of printers letters or anything that would look like a stamp. It's a very turn-of-the-century way to mass produce. Nothing is exactly perfect... very lo-fi
alright, that should give you a good start.
