LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Ive just launched a strategic marketing consultancy based in London, called Fenn Smith Associates. Fenn Smith (without a hyphen) is my surname so this company is me. I specialise in creating cutting-edge strategic marketing plans based on customer research an d insight, right through to implementing the plans via traditional marketing communication methods (web, PR, brand etc). I also help my clients work out their operational or strategic problems by running workshops and providing training to marketing departments. Whilst the majority of my experience is within the financial services sector (private banking) I have also worked within FMCG, luxury and Arts sectors. In fact most of it is aimed at the high net worth community. Some of my clients will be traditional and conservative and if they hire me, they will be making a significant investment in marketing services. The logo must reflect my level of professionalism and the quality products and solutions that I offer.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
I need a memorable logo to use on my business cards, letterhead and eventually a website. I have a tagline Research, Insight, Strategy and Change that needs to be incorporated. I go live shortly and the branding will enable me to contact everyone I have ever worked with and those who Id like to work with. I need corporate institutions (prospective customers) to believe in what I recommend and trust me to execute it whilst keeping them in the loop every step of the way.
The design needs to work in both full colour and black and white. The logo should look like a company name rather than a one man band. Business stationary should not incorporate full bleed as Ill be predominantly printing from my printer which is unable to print to that specification type. However, business cards will be done at a printer so full bleed is fine as is a double sided design.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
I am looking to approach a range of large financial institutions right through to Arts organisations and these will be predominantly based in and around London although overseas work would be great. Once again, my customers will be predominantly traditional decision makers and some will respond to a more aspirational brand if their client's are High Net Worths.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
As the end-user might often be high net worth, cosmetic and fine wine brands/designs are possibly the most suitable. The designs themselves are aspirational and beautifully executed - elegant. Our clients are people and will wish to be associated with our brand (eventually!).
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
I have a complete horror of clip art, the colour pink and Im not keen on 3D. Orange also might be a little tricky. The logo needs to appeal to both male and female senior decision makers. Also, the initials FSA cant be used because they stand for the Financial Services Agency in the UK.
