elix development is a real estate development START UP company.
"elix development...real estate in EVOLUTION". We are willing to see and discover things others don't. We are always in motion, evolving. As individuals first, now as a company. All partners (6 guys) are under 36 years of age and with lots of profressional experience. Before starting this company, we all come from exec positions in leading companies. Boring companies!!! We dont want to be a boring company, although we are very serious and professional.
We will (or at least we want to) develp golf course communities, strip centers, and residential developments. All within Mexico.
-elix comes from helix: "something twisted or spiral". Commonly associated with the spiral seen on a dna chain. You can check it out on wiktionary...
-our motto, might be "real estate evolution". but in spanish... "evolucin inmobiliaria"
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a clean, attractive (cool) logo and stationery design (business cards, letterhead with envelope, power point template). We do a lot of presentations.
We dont want to see dna chains, helicopter stuff, nor little building blocks in a spirally way.
Think of EVOLUTION... (not a chimp turning into a man though)
Stock photos -very carefully picked- and just as an element, can be used on the stationery. Remember, sometimes less is more. A bit on a bottom corner? Or a bit just over the edge to show the left or right margin in the letterhead?
IDEA: Are you to propose the use of stock photos? Our main asset, from which we develop, is LAND. Maybe a bit focus on natural green resources? Imagine, where would you have your dream vacation home? there!!! we'll build it from scratch. environmentaly friendly. maybe find an analogy like in this ad: sample: kelty (attached).
Illustration can be used as well and is very welcomed!. However, rembemer, we dont want to appear to be another boring real estate company but we are not google or a cartoon editorial.
The logo may be perceived as in motion. rather than something like a block. "evolution".
I like this aesthetic:
I like they are Clean, minimalist... (Dont maind their logo)
I like their usage of clean spaces, very focused on their message (images, etc). They don't accumulate many things in little space. Looks clean and trendy. I like that.
We like green combined with dark colors. Is not a must. You know better about color usage.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Real estate equity funds such as La Salle (www.lasalle.com), JER (www.jer.com), Walton St Capital (www.waltonst.com) will definately take a look at our company and proposals, which will come in our letterhead stationery designed probably by you!!!!! or in power point presentations using the principles of the letterhead and business cards.
As you can see, all of the above are very strong big companies, but look boring, sometimes even snobby like... We dont want that! However, many young people (Harvard, Yale and Kellog grads) have exec jobs at such companies and we have to deal with them, so, they have to feel attracted to our business lifestyle (cool image), and the way we want to do business; easy going.
Last but not least (but first we need the money from the gusy above), potential buyers (a granny or a 32 year old grandson) might take a look at a portfolio in our sales book, certainly using our logo and stationery system design.
Our business cards will be freely handed over on cocktails, parties and conventions to just about everybody willing to extend their hand...
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We dont want to see dna chains, helicopter stuff, nor little building blocks. Vectors forming a V, X or somenthing similar have been used a lot in the insustry and will not be considered.
Dont elaborate too much, I dont like bulky logos.
Elix is already a strong word easily remembered and associated with spirals like in a dna chain. hence, the isotype has to be complementary to the name. Not more of the same association.
