What do you do?

We do dynamic positioning for the oil and gas industry in Mexico. This means using sonars, radars, multi-beam high frequency equipment to get good data on what the sea floor looks like (gas pipes, oil pipes, reefs, cracks, sunken ships, lost equipment, salvage projects) we also broker vessels, install oil perforation platforms (but we do not do perforation jobs) we work beneath the sea and at deep and shallow waters, very closely to PEMEX ( mexico's only oil brand and company) and would like our logo to differenciate to the rest of the market companies.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?

STRENGTH: financial strenght and smart business moves have allowed us to grow in a new market. We want to show a logo that could include either the real dragonfish (anglerfish - that fish that lives in the abyss and has the fluorescent antenna that fools little fish and eats them) or a dragon (norse mythology, mexican mythology) with water properties (scales, fins etc) shows customers our serious approach to the market with an impact.
TENACITY: this concept is what will set us appart from our competition, we are different from them in many aspects but it is tenacity to get things done that is lacking in our industry, and our company will always find a way to get your project done with excellent results, always above average and always striving further than the rest to get you something that will draw a smile even on an offshore engineer.
GLOBAL: we want to make people feel our global presence, although at first we may only be in two countries, we have expansion plans and we compete in auctions against companies from all over the world, we want our logo to be on par with any top of the line company on any standard no matter how high we might get.

I will let the designers decide that but I will use their color suggestion for my company's colour palette. But we are oriented to blue (dark or light) /black/red/orange/gray

brown, pink, violet (girly colors)

most companies on our field use BLUE on different tones, mostly light blue, or bright blue, some even dark blue but not too dark. Please feel free to use any tone of blue if you must, but blue/green kinda turquoise or a dark dark blue are better options, we are trying to set our company appart.
