What do you do?

We help people in businesses make better decisions. We are consulting firm, and our primary product is business education. We teach modern business practices, systems thinking, and customer centricity.

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

Data Driven Decisions. But for the logo we prefer a modern, clean look, and we are afraid that incorporating the name in the logo will make it too big and awkward, so we probably would prefer a simple logo off to the side of the name. We also are not too excited about the triple Ds we think making it a part of the logo is so 1960s. If you can make DDD look good in it, all the better, but dont feel like you have to include the name or initials. One of the concepts that we sell is that the Data in a business can act like an ocean wave; if you harness it just right, it can lift you and propel you toward your objective. So if you can make the logo express some kind of random data on the left, but as you move across to the right it becomes more orderly and elevated, we would probably go for that. It doesnt necessarily have to look like an ocean wave, but it should be evocative of something like that. And we dont like question marks we would rather portray solutions instead of problems.

You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.

The LLC must be included with our name on the letterhead and the card. The card should include the IMC USA logo (Institute of Management Consultants) which is File 1 in the Materials section, but your design for our logo should not be based on the IMC logo. Our slogan is Better Decisions, Better Results. Notice that we left off the quotation marks. Feel free to do the same. You could portray that slogan however you like. An example of a variation that we like is Better Decisions>Better Results. It doesnt look so great with this font, but you get the idea. Wed like to see the slogan on the card, letterhead, and envelope.

Style and Concept

What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

Text and graphic image. For the stationery, we prefer mostly light backgrounds with lots of white space, but the foreground designs should be bold. The card can be all color (or not as long as it feels consistent).

What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?

When we view other galleries, we are definitely drawn to the more colorful submissions, but we dont want the headers or footers to be too tall most of the page should be white. The design could extend into the page as a watermark, but nothing too flashy. We think metallic textures are a nice way to convey a modern feel.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?

No particular colors to avoid, just make it look modern and professional.

What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?

Professional (we teach Graduate Level management education topics).
Modern (The design should convey that we use 21st century methods).
Trustworthy (We are professional consultants).
Impressive (Big corporation / Fortune 100 look)
