McDonald Painting (+)
Dave McDonald, Owner
We own a local construction company “McDonald Painting, LLC” in a small beach community (New Smyrna Beach, FL). My husband and I started the business about 6 years ago to make some extra money – we both had FT jobs and worked on the business weekends to supplement our income. During that time, Dave mostly focused on interior and exterior painting. The company grew quickly, and Dave was able to quit his FT job and he began working for himself 2 years ago. The business focus went from painting houses to full construction .however the business name is still McDonald Painting, LLC.
We don’t want to change the name because everyone knows him around town, but we also don’t want new clients to think he only does painting.
We have been working on a design, but nothing has been decided. Our ideas are attached
My husband started working with a graphic artist thinking he could change has business name from McDonald Painting, LLC to McDonald Construction just by changing the name on his business cards – yikes!
My solution for him was to add a (+) sign or the word “Plus” to the logo and insert “Quality Construction”
Dave has been in the construction business for 25+ years.
