Founded in 1985 in the small town of Chehalis, WA Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute (PCLI) specializes in cataract surgery and laser vision correction. We have 17 locations in 6 states from Anchorage, AK to Albuquerque, NM. Having performed more than 500,000 micro eye surgeries, PCLI continually improves its techniques and has earned a reputation for world class care. Visitors are treated as special guests and a comfortable, homelike atmosphere reassures patients and minimizes fear of surgery.
The median age of cataract patients in the US is 65. LASIK patients range between 20-45 years of age.

Our number one goal associated with redesigning the logo is to boost brand awareness especially for our LASIK patients. Our business name does not give a clear indication of the services that we provide. We think a combination mark (Lettermark of PCLI and a pictorial of something eye related). A lot of our current and past patients and employees use PCLI instead of our complete name. Our website is also pcli.com.
We are also open to the idea of stacking the name vertically so that the P in Pacific, C in Cataract, L in Laser, and I in Institute is prominently visible with a bold text, color or different font style from the rest, thus achieving the full name and the lettermark in one logo.
