LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Our clients enjoy drinking wine and laughing with good friends. We are the wine that you see on the shelf, have to have because it looks great, and when you taste it you enjoy the smoothness and immediately feel a connection to the brand, taste, and the fact that you are the hit of the party for bringing the new wine that tastes great!
We sell mostly white wines that are sweeter and very drinkable. Our main target demographic is females but we also offer reds and stronger whites for men as well.
The line currently consists of Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewrztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Syrah, . Other varietals may be considered in the future.

We are "almost" the anti-wine. We don't want you to buy our wine from Pierre and stick it on a shelf. We want you to share it with friends. Drink it everyday, and enjoy it.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that is versatile as we sell 70% white wine and 30% red wine (think lighter labels/logo on white wine bottles) so the logo will need to work on a light background or dark, r at least be reversible. We envision the work "drink" in lower case with some type of tyopgraphy or integrated image into the word.
We also would like to see an example business card instead of stationary such as letter head.
The logo will be used as the main brand of the wine. Our individuals wines will have separate names and or brands themselves such as "(drink logo) Merlot" or "MAD Cranberry" so we prefer a logo that has a clean look that is mostly typography based instead of an image.
We are open to non-traditional shapes and colors. Vibrant is ok but it should not burn our retinas.
A clean typography that helps build our brand is the desired end result.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target market is Female age 21-40 and Male, 21-30 that likes an inexpensive($15-$18/bottle) good tasting wine that looks appealing so they feel good when bringing it to a dinner party or grabbing a glass after a hard day of work.
Packaging is critical in the wine business so our logo and the colors that complement it are critical to our packaging design.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Caldwell Winery Labels - The Simplicity is nice
Bitch Wine - Perfect brand recognition with one word.
General contemporary logos, web 2.0 logos, and clean looks.

http://www.thecoolist.com/amazing-wine-l... is a good inspiration of designs we like.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
not much imagery, so please focus on typography. We don't like the traditional wine types of ideas (e.g, grapes, or vines) but things like a contemporary svelt wine glass is acceptable.
We do NOT want to see anything cartoony or childish, err on the side of sophistication and classy designs. We are not a 400 year old French Estate so no houses, mountains, or animals please.
