What do you do?
We are in the cloud computing business and we sell 'cloud hosted' virtual Microsoft Windows desktops that you can access from anywhere.
In short we are all about virtual desktops and cloud computing.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.
I would like some business cards and letterheads.
What is your industry?
the cloud computing, desktop virtualization, virtual desktops industry
Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
Out target audience is generally the small to medium sized enterprise as well as people interested in cloud computing. I would say they are reasonably technically minded but not geeks, although some of them are.
They value security, reliability and want to trust hosting their data and desktops in the cloud.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
cloud computing, virtual desktops and perhaps robustness in the sense that we have a reliable, trustworthy and robust cloud service.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
I want something fresher than the logo I already have and these companies have here, which are all variations on the same old text and cloud theme. Something more original and quirky is required, a theme that could perhaps be spun into a whole brand and design.
TEXT AND IMAGE PLEASE :)
The reason I want text and image is because the text will change to suit the name of my other branded websites. My idea is that the brand will stay consistent through my web estate but the names will change. My main company is called tuCloud, but I also run the Virtual Desktop Forum and the Virtual Desktop Review and Virtual Desktop People, I also have a brand called Desktops on Demand.
Ideally the graphics would stay the same but the text would change to any of the above.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
I like blues, greens and greys and I like metallic elements and texture.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
red, black, purple.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
elastic, dynamic, secure, hot technology
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
The logo will be used on our website, in print and on business cards. Ideally though if I get a good enough design concept, I would like to spin it into a whole web and brand design depending on what we come up with.
I would like a cartoon, characters throughout the site and cool graphics all themed together into a brand.
Do you have additional info or links you want to share?
Yes my websites that I designed myself :
and my competitors websites where they have cool design :
http://www.nasstar.com/ (I love the graphic elements of this site, I would love my own cartoon and different graphics of the same character through my site, this is what I want to work towards).
http://www.desktone.com/ (I always thought these were quite slick although they changed their site recently and its worse now)
