Parasol Beauty Atelier
What do you do?
I am opening a skincare treatment center (spa), providing professional services in skincare, waxing, brow designs, permanent makeup and special occasion makeup. This is not your typical walk-in nail-salon. This is an upscale, expensive skincare treatment center rendering clinical grade skincare treatments. We do peels, microdermabrasion, medical grade procedures. The treatment rooms are set up similar to a doctor's office, but the reception area is set up like a high-end boutique, with big red-orange, venetian style mirrors, some accent walls have taupe zebra print wallpaper, we have baby blue chairs with silver studded hardware. We have a modern chandelier that looks like a burst of tiny bubbles which hangs in the middle of the reception area. Think "soho chic".
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Parasol Beauty Atelier ("Beauty Atelier" should be in much finer print b/c I want the word "Parasol" to be in the spotlight)
What pieces of stationery do you need designed (biz cards, letterhead, etc.)?
Business cards and stationary for my menu of services
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
My demographic is high-end, highly educated, sophisticated, chic, independent women in their mid 30's-late 40's. They run the gamut of stay-at-home-moms to super, high level professional women in the silicon valley. Many of them are lawyers, investment bankers, ppl in hi-tech, doctors, professors, undergrad and grad students at Stanford, etc... They expect quality, consistency, superior service, and unique artistry and they are willing to pay top dollars for it. While it is under the category of "spa", my business is set up more like a boutique so I want to exude fun, stylishly chic yet professional services.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
I want to communicate to my clients that I provide high quality, professional grade services in an fun, stylishly chic environment they can trust. I want them to know they can get clinical results in a boutique setting that is not set up like a doctor's office, that it's okay to go to a fun, stylish place to get medical results. It needs to express the merging of clinic and spa in one.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
I think a unique, stylish text would be nice. I would be interested in seeing some images too. I am pretty open. My main requirement is that I want it to reflect a modern day level of sophistication, look clean, chic, express high quality, artistry, and uniqueness. I'm not into cheesy, amateur, generic looking logos.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
I'd like to see soft, warm colors, maybe taupe, beige, browns. I think something neutral would work best. The main color scheme of the interior design of my business will be taupe/beige with the accent walls being a taupe zebra print. In the reception area/makeup bar, there will be taupe with red-orange and aqua/baby blue accents, with a bit of black so maybe incorporating some of these colors will help with the flow.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
I love color so if you can incorporate splashes of color, perhaps on the stationary for menu of services, I would be open to that. A lot of what I do in permanent makeup and makeup is with color so I think incorporating color somehow is a good thing. It doesn't necessarily have to be in the logo, but certainly I would like to see splashes of color in the menu of services stationary.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
high-end, high quality, trustworthy, chic, stylish in a simplistic, not over-done kind of way, sophisticated yet unpretentious, modern, fun.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
website, business cards, menu of services, in the facade of a stand-alone building in the downtown area of a very prestigious and wealthy town in silicon valley (Palo Alto, Ca-minutes away from Stanford University)
