NetIQ is a global software company and a worldwide brand in IT management solutions. We have been in business for ~15 years. The companys success has been based largely upon a strategic combination of developing and acquiring market-relevant technologies.

Our current look and feel and supporting collateral templates reflect the image of a start-up organization. We would like to refresh our brand image, stationery and ultimately collateral templates to convey a more professional-grade, global organization.
Note that the proper legal spelling is NetIQ. The IQ of our name is of particular importance as we seek to further differentiate our organization from smaller niche players and much larger competitors.
We have a refreshed color palette and font family (included for your use and reference). We are open to some variation here within reason. Note: we do not expect to limit the logo treatment to this particular font family. It is what we plan to use for collateral body copy.
NetIQ is a nimble organization we are not a small start up. We have a broader portfolio and greater expertise and greater ability to address the needs of customers which gives us greater credibility. We are not a mega-vendor that does not have the time to dedicate to ensure the best customer experience.

NetIQs branded visuals should illustrate and reinforce its commitment to total customer success with NetIQ products, solutions and services. They should create a lasting impression of a strong NetIQ identity that expresses a sense of cutting-edge technology and outside-of-the-box innovation. The visual brand should represent an energetic and enthusiastic organization with experienced, dedicated experts who are focused and committed to customer success rapid yet long-term value from NetIQ software investments.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are currently in need of a revised brand identity (refreshed logo and type treatment). It is yet to be determined if a tag line will necessarily be incorporated. Our current logo is cartoonish and does not project a sophisticated, experienced company. We would like a more professional look. Wed like it to be no more than a 2-color process to keep our printing costs more manageable. Current logo attached for your reference.
We are also in need of stationery templates for letterhead, #10 envelopes, and business cards using the revised brand identity.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our core audience is Managers and Directors of IT and Security. We also expect to be spending more time and resources targeting VP of IT and Security and C-level executives (CIO and CISO) in 2010. So, in general, we are looking to appeal to executive-level audiences.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We are relatively open here our overall objective is global, sophisticated, trusted an image that evokes these attributes. We particularly like the logo and design for BMC Software.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Beyond the color palette as a general reference, we are open to ideas.
