LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Bellavance Beverage Co. has been distributing beer and other beverages since 1902. The company remains located in the city of Nashua and is a well recognized member of the community. The bulk of the company's business is beer sales (no wine or spirits) but also includes sales of soda, water, juice and other non-alc products. We sell and service a wide range of retailers that include supermarkets, convenience stores, bars, restaurants and we market our brands to end consumers through on-location promotions, samplings and event sponsorships. The company history is fairly well documented through historical items - glass bottles bearing the company name, invoices, pictures and marketing materials as well as stories from many long-time customers who remember "the old days". The connection to our history is strong and important. Our core principles remain unchanged but we continue to adapt and innovate to meet the changing needs of our customers and the marketplace.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Updated logo for use on business cards, letterhead, vehicle decals and promotional materials/items including t-shirts and wearables. Two or three colors with the ability to reproduce the logo in reasonable quality in grayscale. Would also consider two logo versions - one with a bit more color and detail for business cards and letterhead, the other more simple for use on vehicles and wearables
"Renovation" might be better word to describe the project - think old house, solid structure, some architectural details to be preserved but in need of updates to make it a little more current and give it a little more curb appeal. Classic not dated.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Brewers and Bottlers whose brands we represent or are trying to secure. Retailers that we sell and service directly. End consumers that we try to influence to purchase our products over competitive products. These are working people, independent and not corporate. Straightforward, neat and honest not frilly or fancy.
Ideally logo will communicate: business heritage and longevity - trusted and reliable partner - integrity - high quality products, people and service - passionate about our brands - adaptable - genuine - not stuck in the past or resting on past success - forward thinking
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
The circle design attached evolved from a logo used in 1940's. We like the basic format of it but are also open to new concepts. Original background color was a burnt orange. OK to incorporate subtle beer cues like hop flowers or barley stalks but nothing that screams beer. Variations of "Established 1902" that can include abbreviations or a synonym such as "Founded" or short tagline such as "Serving you since 1902". One attached logo we do not particularly like and have included comments with it. Other attached pics give a bit of visual context for our history. No neon, yellows, greens or pinks.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Logo can use either "Bellavance Beverage Co." or "Bellavance Beverage Company". Should also have initials "BBC" and some reference to our founding date of 1902.
