LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a team in the early stages of launching a party/event planning production company. The name we have selected for our company is "behind the buzz". We chose this name because our marketing approach to date has been very grassroots (sort of a "what's the buzz", if you will). The original premise for the creation of behind the buzz was to establish a cost effective model to host a party. Basically, a means for those who don't have thousands of dollars to throw the equivalent of P. Diddy's annual white party.
The events we've held to date (e.g. birthday parties, retail boutique events, etc.) have been established through word of mouth referrals. Our demographic has consisted of mainly young professionals more so than formal/corporate groups. That being said, we would like our brand to reflect a certain fun/hip component while at the same time establishing an element of professionalism. We don't want to seem CHEAP in the tacky sense.
We are excited to take our small business venture to the next step by utilizing free internet marketing resources (e.g. facebook, myspace, etc.). We have been hesitant to use these tools because we wanted to make sure that once we did, we were branding ourselves in a way that would convey our seriousness and dedication to our new business endeavor. We're hopeful this project will allow us to do just that.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We're looking for a few things...
1. A logo we can use while using internet marketing tools (e.g. evites, facebook, myspace, etc.), a future web site, and printed signage
2. Business Cards for distribution to venues, suppliers, potential clients, etc.
3. A standard flyer/invite template to use for occasional self-promotional events
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We are focusing on a young professional to middle-age demographic, but really, we are open to all ages and all walks of life.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
We are open to any ideas, color schemes, fonts, etc. and will be sure to provide feedback once we see some intial design proposals. We want the logo to be catchy, so colors like oranges, turquoises, etc. would be fun to experiment with...
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
We would like the name "behind the buzz" spelled out for the logo, but it might be fun to have some sort of abbreviation (e.g. btb, or bb) in addition.
Also, we are focusing on the city of chicago as our main destination for even locations, so seeing some designs that incorporate the city into them would be fun (e.g. the chicago skyline, etc.)
