LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are developing software for large scale visualization and exploration of data using clusters of commodity hardware computers. This software is aimed at data analysts in diverse fields including but not limited to: biotech, retail, search engine optimization, Ad impression, clickstream, social and network data etc. Currently, we have clients in the biotech and retail domain and hope to expand to other verticals soon. We view ourselves as providing maps and navigation capability within data, with our slogan being "Mapping worlds of data". Our name means "to seek" in Cherokee (In Cherokee script, the word looks like : ). We do not want the logo or, eventually, the webpage, to limit ourselves to any of the particular verticals, but rather we would like it to reflect the usefulness of our methods across all kinds of data/knowledge. A related goal is the development of tools for data analysis which do not require as much use of traditional mathematics as other methods, but rather turns the analysis process into a "point and click" endeavor. We want to open up analytic capabilities to a much larger audience than is currently using them. One such example of the visualization is attached.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a Logo and business card, letterhead, envelope. Soon, we will need some Web Design in the form of a small website and a blog theme.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Data analysts dealing with either large volumes or high dimensional data. We want the logo to be attractive to potential employees (all engineers or scientists). We want to be perceived as professional, innovative, technology-centric with a strong emphasis on visualization and commodity computer clusters.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Firefox - simple and elegant, Textmate - precise and beautiful, Cloudera, amazon - strong, asterdata - simple, elegant, strong.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
A design which looks stunning against both Black (dark) and White (bright) backgrounds.
