What do you do?
Shala Wellness is focused on changing the face of workplace culture through a wholistic approach to workplace wellness/work+life balance that integrates the philosophies of mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and other alternative wellness practices. A wide variety of services are offered, including helping senior leadership change their management approaches and reduce stress using leadership coaching, mindfulness training, etc., and helping employees lead more balanced lives, reduce stress, get healthier, etc. Services include onsite wellness programs for corporations such as yoga or pilates classes, corporate massage, wellness workshops, etc. We also work with national and international conferences to bring onsite yoga, massage, and other wellness-related services to enhance any event.
What is the exact name you would like in your logo?
Shala Wellness (Shala can be lower case "shala" or uppercase and would like to see options that emphasize this word, but still include "wellness")
You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.
Yes, very interested in business cards and that's why we chose this option, and of course would be nice to have letterhead and envelopes as needed once a logo is chosen.
What is your industry?
Consulting and Professional Services
Describe the target audience for your logo and stationery
Our clients are senior leaders at corporations such as the CEO, VPs, HR managers, and even meeting planners (for our onsite conference events). They are the decision makers for their companies/organizations. We focus heavily on startups and tech companies, the ones that place more emphasis on work + life balance for employees.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your logo and stationery?
We want to communicate 1) a sense of balance/calm in the workplace and life in general; 2) emphasis on a healthy lifestyle in both mind and body; and 3) successful and productive, but flexible workforce/workplace.
Since we cater to corporations and organizations/associations with various niches, we have to ensure our logo is not too corporate, yet not too whimsical so it turns off people in the business world. You can check out www.yogaexec.com for an idea of some of our offerings, descriptions of workshops, etc. and check out Enroute Spa for the massage side.
Style and Concept
What logo and stationery styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?
Wordmarks, Abstract marks, pictorial marks, emblem - we're really open to anything, but think the words "shala" and "wellness" need to be in there somewhere. We also would like a crisp, clean logo. Also, since "shala" means house in Sanskrit, we would like to see some concepts with an abstract house, but please do not limit yourself to this image. We are open to your creativity.
What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
We would really like to see greens used as they are the color of the heart chakra, but also open to reds as they are bold. And honestly, we are open to any combination of color so feel free to be creative!
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
No pink or pastels please. We want to be confident and bold.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
Balanced, confident, bold.
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
website, social media, print (print publications, signs, fliers, postcards), promo items like apparel & pens, etc.
Do you have additional info or links you want to share?
Our logo and brand has to speak to the corporate world and be balanced between professional and alternative therapies. We are not offering health fairs and cholesterol screenings, but customizable solutions for organizations and alternative wellness. The word Shala is a Sanskrit word that means house. When we think of shala, we think of our body, mind, and soul as our temple and there is a desperate need to take care of this house to truly live. If you dont take care of your body, where will you live, is a quote that resonates with us. Shala is also the Babylonian goddess of grains/agriculture and compassion.
