HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a total makeover. Logo, stationary, webdesign, adverts, pressreleases, broschure's ... everything. But we will start with the logo and stationary kit.
Our present problem is that we have two logo's one for the company it self - ePocket and the other one for the product - Handyman. (You will find these attached). The two logos look totally different from each other. This always complicates ads or dr. Who is the sender?
They don't match. We would like to combine them and modernize them. The product's name is registered as ePocket Handyman. But the companys name is ePocket Solutions. We think the logo must contain the words ePocket and Handyman.
Handyman is our only product. Its main function is to remove paperwork for craftsmen.
The program Handyman have different plug-in's/modules. It would be great to have one logo that can be used to represent a product family and that it is easy to attach different module names to it.
ePocket Handyman - Invoice
ePocket Handyman - Administrator
ePocket Handyman - PDA
We could use ePocket as a byline like:
Handyman Invoice by ePocket
Handyman Administrator by ePocket
Handyman PDA by ePocket
You will find examples on these thoughts among the attached files.
We want to look like a modern developing company without the boring look that usually comes with administrative software. More playful yet high tech and futuristic.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
We must attract both very large companies as well as the one man, home based business.
Mostly male customers. Both CEOs with 5000 employees and your next door carpenter. But definitely men.
In Norway, where the company began, nearly 50% of all electricians use Handyman every day as an essential part of their working lives.
Aside from electricians, Handyman is widely used by mobile workers in other sectors such as utilities, construction, telecoms, manufacturing, plumbing, heating and facilities management.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
These sites gives a good feeling but we DONT necessarily mean their logos.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Keep it clean ... nothing cartooney
See above as well.
Key words. Modern, elegant, for men, cool, tool, high tech, solid, stable, trust, time, checked, signed, effective, investment, futuristic
Important: You have to consider the small screen on a cell phone when you create the logo.
We need an icon of some kind to be placed in all interface dialogs therefore it must work in small size.
We believe that the checkmark in the current Handyman logo has turned into an icon that our clients recognize. It might be good to keep it but it needs to be modernized. It is not a must have, we trust your creative talents to guide us.
Regarding colors we find that the red & black ads attracts readers but its hard to use in stationeries and press releases. It might be to aggressive. The blue in the Handyman logo is livable but the logo feels like its from the 80s.
The orange blue logo in the ePocket logo and the typeface are nice. But if we combine the words ePocket Handyman the typeface makes it too long.
