Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

Business Name

Harbour IT

What do you do?

We are an IT company wanting a look and feel based on existing logo and probably existing blue squares used on the website and corporate brochure (feel free to be creative/ come up with your own).

The company sells it solutions to other companies. The solutions help companies to make their own internal IT run smoothly and efficiently. This includes making sure all users can access the software they need, that their email always works, that the software is always up to date, as well as larger solutions like helping them decide the best hardware to use to run all of their computers, and whether a cloud (internet based) solution is a good, cost effective option for them.

What is the exact name you would like in your stationery?

Harbour IT

You'll receive designs for biz cards, letterhead and envelopes.

What I really want is a clean crisp look and feel we can use across the board. We have several legacy brands in play at the moment, and having a single look would be good :-)

The simplest for me is if we can adapt the blue squares (see dropbox link) into a great motif (preferably lighter and simpler than what is on the website - however if you get inspired and have a different visual idea feel free to add it in. Remember it has to be pretty corporate.

I will check the site every day and provide feedback. Feel free to just put up the visual concept on an item to get feedback before applying it to other items.

Ideally we want a design that can be adapted to work in the corporate brochure going forward, given this I have uploaded it as well as the raw files for some ideas a designer worked on for me - for a case study. Feel free to add your design using this in-design file if easier. I have also uploaded an old style guide for reference. Feel free to suggest new fonts/ read it/ not read it.

If you want any other files let me know - I probably have them.

We also have a subscription to shutterstock - so feel free to use any motifs from there, and we can download the real version.

What is your industry?

Software and InfoTech

Describe the target audience for your stationery

We work with midsized businesses (200-1000 employees) and typically talk with the CEO (runs the company) CFO (in control of finance) CIO (in control of IT) or senior IT person. We target this high level because the IT purchases are quite large and impact every aspect of the business.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your stationery?

Clean crisp
Easy to deal with

What stationery styles do you like?

I lIke the blue squares we came up with at the top left of the file 'example with blue square' but also need to make sure whatever we use integrates well with the logo.

Drop box folder for files:

What colors do you want to see in your stationery?

Utilising the blue )and green of the logo would be good.
PMS 301CV,
C100, M69, Y23, K7
R0 G82 B147

C48 M0 Y100 K0

What colors do you NOT want to see in your stationery?

trey and use the blue and green, and perhaps a third colour - red works well.

What adjectives should best describe your stationery?

PS in the dropbox is a file called I really like this - it has taken some of the squares form the blue squares file and put them into a simple motif. I really like that the squares are different colours , and some have the light shining through - it adds interest.

PS -with whatever we go with we do need the colours to link back to the logo - for instance with the uploaded example of the squares I like 'I really like this' - one/some of these should either have the green or blue of the logo - to link the concepts.

Also would love to see these squares used in a design, especially if we could add some perspective to make them look like they were flying away/towards us. The psd for this is in the dropbox folder.

HI All
thanks for the entries so far - the series of several squares I uploaded was just a guide and having seen quite a few entries using it I am not such a fan.

I still would like to use the blue squares but arranged differently. Using all of them is overpowering - but perhaps using some of them?
