What do you do?

Storyguide.net is an online resource for people interested in shooting better online video. It comprises a blog, video tutorials and How-To articles. As part of expanding its offering, we've created a full day hands-on class that we want to advertise through a newly designed landing page.

List the size requirement(s) for your landing page

900x768 (can be longer, not wider) The graphic can be full page or separate elements

Target Audience

What is your industry?

The nature of the subject doesn't limit our content to any specific industry. We noticed though that we had a high participation of people from high tech, manufacturing and healthcare

Describe the target audience for your landing page

Our target audience are mainly corporations, and in particular business, marketing and PR communicators who are looking at online video as a new channel to get their message out either internally in their organizations (e.g. employee communications, training) or externally to consumers or other businesses (e.g. launching a new product, how-to tutorials). They attend our workshop to understand the basics of video creation, how to tell a good story in a short time, how to shoot good basic video with inexpensive cameras, how to publish it online and promote it via social media.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your landing page?

Online video is growing, it's everywhere and you want to get on board right away
Online video can be intimidating and this workshop will equip you with the vital knowledge to get started on the right foot
Our workshop is interactive, hands-on and full of practical and immediately actionable tips. It's time well invested

How is your company different from your competitors?

This workshop is led by two instructors who have deep experience in both TV and corporate environments, covering all key areas of online video, from planning, production, editing, syndication and social media. This class has been attended by several Fortune 1000 participants and its hands-on nature makes it fun, engaging, more practical and less theoretical.

Style and Concept

What landing page design styles do you like?

We don't want to limit your creativity in any way. Because this targets mostly corporate clients, it shouldn't look like a 'get rich fast' sales pitch page. We'd like to offer a sense of assurance that the topic, knowledge and authority of the content and speakers are solid, at the same time we promise that this is going to be a fun, positive and rewarding experience that is worth their investment.

What colors do you want to see in your landing page?

Please refer to the file "StoryGuide color palette style guide" in the Materials section

What colors do you NOT want to see in your landing page?

Please refer to the file "StoryGuide color palette style guide" in the Materials section

What adjectives should best describe your landing page?

Elegant, visually rich, simple, clean

What content must be included in the landing page?

Please find detail content in the materials section:
Storyguide logo
Workshop title
Workshop one line headline
Workshop intro description
Workshop bulleted outline
Bios of 2 speakers
Call to action
A few photos of past events (use as many as needed)
A few short testimonials (~2-3 short ones)
Logos of companies that attended in the past (~8-10)
Possible space for an intro video (yet to be determined - just put placeholder)
A couple of quick visual facts / charts about online video (yet to be determined - just put placeholder)

Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?

Examples of landing pages we like:
http://go.brightcove.com/content/online-... (it's elegant, clean, it educates via images that the industry is growing, it has some client logos, clear call to action)
http://signup.hootsuite.com/pro/?ad=ga&g... (a little too text heavy, but it contains the right elements, testimonials, logos, product details, call to action)
