Describe the target audience for your landing page
The landing page we need you to design for HomeSuite is a specific page for our San Francisco Neighborhood Power Rankings. The idea behind this landing page is to provide interesting, engaging content for people who live in San Francisco or are thinking about renting there, but also for the media (bloggers as well as established media) who might find our rankings provocative and fun. We want people to share the SF Neighborhood Power Rankings page because they enjoy what they see / are reading, and because it provides some valuable insights into different San Francisco neighborhoods, while representing a credible point of view from a business that knows the market. Ideally, this would get to an audience that enjoys reading about real estate (particularly in San Francisco) and technology. Anyone looking to rent furnished apartments would be an added bonus.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your landing page?
1) This is awesome content. Very interesting / engaging, and something I will want to see when it is updated in the future. Just like a ranking of political candidates or sports teams - conversation provoking, easily digestible, and fun.
2) HomeSuite knows what it is talking about in terms of housing, particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. HomeSuite has great information and, as a leading housing provider, have very interesting insights into the housing market.
3) I can trust this site; HomeSuite is a very credible source for any housing related information that I might need in the future.
How is your company different from your competitors?
Though we don't have any explicit "competitors", people sometimes compare us to Airbnb or Craigslist. We are different from Airbnb in that we are actually a broker (instead of just a marketplace like Airbnb), and we provide housing for a minimum of 30 days (unlike Airbnb which is nightly). We differ from Craigslist in that we guarantee trust and professionalism. We interview our landlords and do background checks on our tenants to ensure that all transactions are completely legitimate. We put in the effort to take care of our customers and build trust.
Style and Concept
What landing page design styles do you like?
We want an exciting, clean design. This Power Rankings idea is a play on some of the graphics you might see on ESPN, Fox Sports, USA Today, etc. and we tried to make our draft look something like this image: http://images.ientrymail.com/devwebpro/t.... However, we are not attached to this design by any means. Feel free to get creative! We want a fresh and exciting look with content that is easy to read and digest.
Another idea was that we would take the idea of the Sports parody even further. At the top of the Power Rankings graphic, we could have a triumphant football player (for example) wearing a jersey that had the winning neighborhood name (in this case, SoMa) printed across the front. The bottom of the rankings could have a dejected football player with the losing neighborhood name (Marina) on his jersey. This definitely does not have to be part of the final design, but is how we potentially thought about it. Feel free to have fun with it!

What colors do you NOT want to see in your landing page?
What adjectives should best describe your landing page?
Exciting, intriguing, fresh, clean, informative, trustworthy, professional, comedic
What content must be included in the landing page?
The info provided in this blog post: http://www.yourhomesuite.com/blog/sf-nei.... Please use the content from here (and any additional content that you think would add value).
The footsteps are the "Walk Score" and the bus is the "Transit Score" for each neighborhood. Please make these clear (we did not do this well in our post). Also the very end of the post should include "www.walkscore.com" after "The Walk / Transit Scores are based on information from ".
Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
One of the main objectives of this content is to aid in our visibility through search engines and social media. Rather than relying on graphics please design so the content is easily crawlable. Example: http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings
It would also be GREAT if individual power rankings (each) had a link to easily tweet or share it, sparking debate and engagement.
We want to have a more professional feel than this article: http://www.thebolditalic.com/articles/19..., but we'd love for it to be similar in terms of comedic value.
