What do you do?
The Nines is a live online web conference that happens on 09/09. It is a gathering of about 50,000 church leaders from around the world.
List the size requirement(s) for your landing page
1024x768 is fine
What is your industry?
Christian Leaders / Church Leaders
Describe the target audience for your landing page
These will be people that have registered for our online conference. Mostly pastors and church leader types.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your landing page?
All of the elements needed for this page are listed in this proposal. The live video is the main component. CoveritLive and Twitter feeds are also important, as are the links to upgrade their experience.
How is your company different from your competitors?
The NINES is the only truly online conference for church leaders. We'll have a large audience and feature over 100 speakers throughout the day.
Style and Concept
What landing page design styles do you like?
This page needs to fully utilize screen real estate to incorporate a lot of different elements. The page, when put together, will be very dynamic and tied in to social networking to provide our online conference attender with a very interactive social and conference experience
What colors do you want to see in your landing page?
See our logo (attached) to take our color scheme from there. We also use a blue as the secondary color. You can catch that color at our website: http://thenines.leadnet.org
What colors do you NOT want to see in your landing page?
Anything that doesn't match the logo color scheme.
What adjectives should best describe your landing page?
cutting-edge, innovative. The look of this page should not be 'churchy' or traditional.
What content must be included in the landing page?
Across the top that implements the '9' element of the logo. Must also have the words "The NINES" as in the logo; and "A Leadership Network Experience by 100x" included somewhere. Headers should be fairly skinny top to bottom to make good use of screen real estate.
LIVE VIDEO EMBED
This is the main window that people will use to view the live online conference. This should receive the best real estate possible.
HAT TIP TO OUR VIDEO HOST
Directly below the Live Video Stream should be a hat tip to our video host, Lightcast Media. I've included a Lightcast Media logo. Graphic below video should say 'Powered by Lightcast Media (with logo) and a link to their website (http://lightcastmedia.com) You can grab their logo from our website at http://thenines.leadnet.org.
This is the 'play-by-play'. This embed will feature live speaker notes that will go along with the live video. This 'coveritlive' stream (http://coveritlive.com) will need to be right beside the live video element of the page. Here is a sample embed. We need a way for people to post to their twitter accounts from this page. In the past we've used Twoxit (http://www.twoxit.com). We are open to using them again, or implementing another easy way for people to twitter right from our live conference page (Tweets should be embedded with the hashtag #THENINES) You can grab embed code from Twoxit.com or another service)
TWITTER IMPLEMENTATION - LIVE FEED
This should be a live, constantly updating stream from Twitter for the hashtag #THENINES. In the past we've used Hootsuite, and found their embeds to be the most reliable and consistently updated. We are also open to using another service if you can find one that's better. Here's some sample Hootesuite code (or you can use another service). Feel free to change dimensions/colors to fit your design We'd like to have a rotating sponsor space that would be 282x125 that we can plug our sponsor logos and links into. These should rotate much like our sponsor space on the right side of this page: http://thenines.leadnet.org You can grab the sponsor logos and urls there.
