LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

A small mortgage company which attracts attention with newsletters about the financial crisis and now this first political cartoon.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Political cartoon. One still image. Circus theme. The "emperor has no clothes" theme. Maybe professional wrestling theme. A pinch of cross dressing thrown in. Collage art preferred. Line and color is fine too.

A contest of ideas between Bozo the Clown and Representative Barney Frank, chairmen of the House Financial Services Committee. Frank is a key figure in the financial crisis. Bozo is a clown (now retired) with seriously big red hair.

Bozo and Barney are both clowns.

Each one thinks they have the best ideas to fix the financial crisis.

They stand side by side (or on the same page somehow) and display their fixes. They are comparing lists. They each have a list of 11 fixes for the financial crisis. Each fix is 1 or 2 or 3 sentences.

One of the 11 fixes will be released with each release date @ every five days. Day 1 is fix 1. Day 6 is fix 2 (in bold) with fix 1 above it on the list. Day 11 is fix 3 (in bold) with fix 1 & 2 above it on the list. By the 11th release date each list will be fully revealed.

Bozo is the smart one. Barney is the stupid one.

By the end, by the time the 11th fix has been unveiled, Bozo will be a clown who is a king. Barney will be a clown who is an emperor wearing no clothes. Added points for including Barney's cross dressing. This is political art. You don't have to be fair.

The points which Bozo makes are actually serious suggestions about how to end the financial crisis. Barney's suggestions are solipsistic, irrelevant and ridiculous. In some circles he is considered to be the person most responsible for the financial crisis. That is the opinion of the author.

The business purpose of this image is to attract attention to a mortgage company web site. The journalistic purpose is far more important and deadly serious. The image will be posted on its own page on a mortgage news site. I hope to generate as many as 5,000 views for each release date. The artist is welcomed to and encouraged to include their business name in the work. A link built in to your site is fine. I would also like a link built in to the cover page of the mortgage company (if possible). I have included the company logo if there is a subtle way to include it at the periphery of image.

A foreseeable logistic problem is that the proposals run as short as 8 words and as long as 80 words. Short and long proposals will be listed side-by-side.

Bozo has 11 fixes and a total of 372 words. Barney has 11 fixes and a total of 337 words.

The image should include the headline: Who Can Fix the Financial Crisis: Bozo or Barney? Cast Your Vote Today.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

People who are interested in the financial crisis, politics, and anybody who wants a mortgage.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I am not a big consumer of image art, so I have little guidance to offer here. I want the image to be bold and wild and controversial. I love collage. I love color. Don't be afraid to make people angry.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Quality. Intelligence. Ambition.
