LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
West Denver Prep is a 4-year old, high-performing, college-prep charter school network in Denver, CO with two middle school (grades 6-8) campuses. While the academic programs at each campus are nearly identical, each needs its own mascot to support school spirit and identity. Our website is www.westdenverprep.org.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
This is a fun project that will mean a lot to the entire West Denver Prep family.
We need one mascot/logo combination for each of our two campuses (so two really similar design projects in total), which may be used on a variety of internal and external pieces including: stationary, other printed materials, signage, clothing and athletic uniforms and our website.
Under the West Denver Prep umbrella, our schools are:
1) Federal Campus Wolves
2) Harvey Park Panthers
While the school names and animals are different, the mascots should be the same size and have the same look and feel to maintain consistent messaging and branding across all of our campuses.
The photos attached will help you get an idea of our current branding.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our middle school students - that this is a fun and dynamic place to be.
Our faculty, staff, families, community, and supporters - that this is a dynamic, rigorous, college-prep school that prepares kids well for college.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
http://www.sgis.org/page.cfm?p=1676 - stylized and interesting for students, yet still maintains a classy/academic feel
Because we're a college prep school, I also like the idea of each logo/mascot combination looking like a college pennant with classic "college" font. However, not sure this is versatile enough for our needs.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Both designs must include:
The West Denver Prep logo in navy blue (attached).
Respective school name and corresponding animal (Federal Campus Wolves; Harvey Park Campus Panthers or Federal Wolves and Harvey Park Panthers)
STRIVE for College (optional) - this is our school motto and sums up our mission.
Use navy blue, white, and light gray for Federal. Use navy blue, white, and yellow/gold, for Harvey Park. Both can use highlight colors (please avoid navy/red in combination). Some of our other printed materials include a light sky/turquoisey blue. This color can be included in both designs if you'd like.
