Curls of Los Angeles
What do you do?
I am a curly hair specialist in New York City with a California style salon called Curls of Los Angeles. I focus on women (and men!) of all different ethnicities. For this illustration I would like the clients to be women.
How many pages of illustration do you need?
Does your illustration need to be a particular size?
Any size is fine as long as the elements are vector.
What is your industry?
Haircare // Beauty
Describe the target audience for your illustration
Women of all ages with naturally curly hair.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your lillustration?
Cute, fun, sunny beach style
I'm bald guy who specializes in curly hair. I thought the illustration of me with some curly haired girls in a salon setting would be awesome. I'd like at least one of the girls in a stylists' chair.
Style and Concept
What lillustration styles do you like?
Devacurl is one of my main product lines. The color scheme is great and I definitely want to compliment that style. I like the erin e-surance style illustrations with tall cartoonish gals, big curly hair in a few different styles and colors. 3 would be great (it's fine if you draw 1, then copy and paste, and change feature colors, etc., but definitely want the hair and the poses to be varied a little bit). I also need a simple version of me, a stylish, fun bald guy who loves taking care of curls!
What colors do you want to see in your illustration?
DevaCurl Green for sure. Pink, (think ocean, Los Angeles, Beach, light colors with some bold bright accents).
What colors do you NOT want to see in your illustration?
The color scheme needs to be fresh and bright, but it's open - just make sure it will jive with the DevaCurl green.
What adjectives should best describe your illustration?
Fun, Modern, Bright, Stylish
Where will you use the illustration (print, website, etc.)?
