What do you do?
Design games for mobile platforms. So the target audience would typically be people in the age group of 18 to 55 years. The apps are meant for short bursts of entertainment, and a visually striking design would help customer retention.
What is your industry?
Entertainment and Sports
Describe the target audience for your illustration
I need the illustration for a mobile game. The target audience would typically be people in the age group of 18 to 55 years. It would be played for a few minutes at a time, generally by people who are bored or are waiting for something (like an appointment) and are playing the game to kill time. The app is meant for short bursts of entertainment, and a visually striking design would help customer retention.
What 3 things do you want to communicate to your audience through your illustration?
1. A colorful design that makes users look at it and feel happy
2. Also I want the design to be innovative, something that makes the user look at it and think "Wow! That's a new way to think of a maze"
3.Simple yet visually stunning. Something that will make people come back just for the beauty of it.
Please don't make a complicated design. This is very important. It should look simple.
Style and Details
How many items or screens do you need illustrated?
One illustration, i.e., one maze. Since I want it to be colorful, a few different color options of the same design would be appreciated (if possible). No need to draw them. Just mentioning what other colors I could use.
Does your illustration need to be a particular size?
The maze will be viewed on both smartphones (including iphone - a 3.7" phone) and tablets. The illustration will need to scale well, but keep in mind that it needs to be clearly visible on an iphone too.
What mobile illustration styles do you like?
Reason - Looks like a nice paper pinned to a wooden board. The maze could for example be drawn on the paper, with different levels being displayed by different papers being changed.
Reason - Same as above.
Reason - A dojo or room like style. But where would the maze be? ( I don't know. You help me...)
Reason: Color scheme is okay, but looks too complex.
Reason: Designs are either too abstract or too complex.
What colors do you want to see in your illustration?
Lively happy colors.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your illustration?
Please don't make black and white only illustrations.
What adjectives should best describe your illustration?
Happy, Colorful, Innovative, Beautiful
Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
For example, the above image could be a maze where blocks of a single color could be used to describe a path.
A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE PLEASE:
The maze will have multiple paths starting from a single starting point to a single finish point.
There will be no dead ends. This means every path should lead to the finish point, but some paths will be longer while others will be shorter.
Even converting the above image into a maze that can be shown on a mobile device would be appreciated, if you don't have any better ideas.
Another example would be a world map, with each country of a different color, and the paths which go through countries will mark all those countries in the same color.
