How many pages of illustration do you need?
We would like one design which can then be used especially for online banner advertisements. Furthermore, the illustration should also be compatible for our entire customer communications such as mailings, newsletters, catalogs and website. The figure should be able to point to something of interest, should be able to talk (for example with a speech bubble) or just take a neutral position as a mascot.
Does your illustration need to be a particular size?
No, we do not need a certain size, but it should fit in as many different forms of advertising as possible (for example, different banner sizes). So, it should be a vector-based graphic.
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your illustration
Women and men between 35-60 years old. People suffering from allergies, health-conscious and environment-conscious customers (LOHAS).
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your illustration?
Nature & environment, quality, sustainability and health.
The illustration should be able to credibly communicate these attributes in various situations. The figure or illustration should build trust and act as a kind friend who advises, helps, and always has good tips. We would like a type of mascot which will be directly connected with and recognized as PureNature in the future.
The illustration should be able to speak with the help of a speech bubble and should be able to point at something or present a product. We could imagine a friendly, intelligent animal in human form or a shape or plant from nature with a face or expression.
Style and Concept
What lillustration styles do you like?
It is very important for us that we are recognized as PureNature (recognition value). We like retro (50s Pop Art for example), we also like comics. For example old marvel comics.
What colors do you want to see in your illustration?
It should have something in common with nature! Pastel and natural colours are best. The Logo is Pantone 320.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your illustration?
We dont like seeing too much black or grey.
What adjectives should best describe your illustration?
natural, funny, happy, healthy, good old times, mascot-like
Where will you use the illustration (print, website, etc.)?
Mailings, catalogues, online advertising (banners), newsletter and website
Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
We are interested in seeing various designs, so we wont be sending any examples yet.
