What do you do?
We have created an app that allows marijuana consumers to track how high they are, and the effects of different strains.
Do you have specific size requirements for the icons or buttons?
These faces will appear on a "flash" page on a mobile app. Attached is an example of what we are currently using. We are currently using the attached images under a creative common license. I guess the size of each face needs to be about the size of a quarter.
How many different icons and/or buttons do you need designed?
10 different faces for each level of high. Each face should get progressively higher.
What is your industry?
Entertainment and Sports
Describe the target audience for your icon or button design
The target audience is marijuana consumers. The faces should be fun and funny. Originally I had the idea that "flash screens" (see attached) would look like a playing card / image or something like that that flashes on the screen for 2 - 5 seconds then returns to the tracking screen. However they do not need to be a card per se. I want to see what you can come up with. As the user tracks their high, they move a sliding scale button to indicate they feel "higher" each time they do this a "flash screen" pops up for 2 - 5 seconds with a funny face indicating that level of "highness" with a funny description, then it fades and goes back to the tracking screen.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your icon or button design?
I want to make the users laugh because they are silly yet kind of accurate. I'm looking for some real creativity here. I love the faces that we are currently using under the creative commons license, but I want something original to use in our app.
Style and Concept
What icon or button design styles do you like?
Artistic, simple, funky, fun
What colors do you want to see in your icon or button design?
Bright colors that will work well with the following color scheme:Pink: #EC008E
Light Grey: #F1F1F1
Dark Grey: #333333
What colors do you NOT want to see in your icon or button design?
I'm pretty open to all colors. Please take a look at the attachments. We want something similar, but original artwork.
What adjectives should best describe your icon or button design?
Hilarious, accurate, and high/stoned
What content must be included in the icon or button design?
Each face needs to show increased levels of being high. From level 1 to level 10! You know, the higher you get the squinty-er your eyes get, the more you laugh, the more you have the munchies. I want each of the 10 faces to reflect a different progressive level of getting higher and higher and higher. Have fun with it. I want something totally unique. Be creative. Be bold. Be funny.
Do you have additional requirements or links you'd like to share?
If you've never been high before this might be a tough assignment. However here are some additional links to read up on if you need more detail about what being high is like:
A lot of these examples have less than 10 levels, but that's where I need your creativity and artistic expression.
