LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Goliath Web Design is a start-up business that will build web/blog sites for small businesses. Small businesses are the essence of a vibrant economy.
We love the fact that a great online strategy gives small businesses an asymmetric advantage over their bigger competitors. That's why "Goliath" - defeating larger competitors - is our central metaphor.
The people behind Goliath are a couple of corporate refugees and serial entrepreneurs who met at business school ten years ago. We always wanted to work together, now we are.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo + a version of the logo that can be used as a favicon..
The logo will also be used
a) As the basis for a website header (which will be developed separately and subsequently; although for reference the header size would be: width = 940 pixels, height = 100 pixels)
b) For stationery
c) For badging on client sites.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our audience is established and pre-start freelancers and small business people. Our clients will range from sole traders up to ~50 employees. Typically, they'll be in personal or business service sectors. What they will ALL have in common is a high degree of ambition for their businesses.
Our key points of difference from competitors are that we are:
1. We build online marketing strategies, not just websites.
2. Our websites are dynamic and social. Theyre not just brochures.
3. Our technologies are open source, not proprietary.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
We like designs that are clean, contemporary and emphasise negative/white space. Things like:
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
A design that strongly references our themes of defeating larger competitors and business growth. We're agnostic about whether it literally references the David and Goliath story though!
Logo must include company name "Goliath Web Design".
The design for our site will be based on the Rich Media Grey Matter theme at http://richwp.com/preview/rich-superblog.... That means the designs must either use or complement the theme's red, white and grey colours. Specifically, the theme uses the following hex codes: #F7F7F7; #FFFFFF; #D6D6D6; #EEEEEE; #4D4D4D; #CC0000.
